๐ฅ๐ฑ Celebrating Philippine Agriculturists' Month ๐ฑ๐ฅ
This Philippine Agriculturists' Month, we proudly honor the dedicated agriculturists who continue to drive the growth and sustainability of the Philippine dairy industry. Through their expertise in animal nutrition, breeding, forage development, herd health, farm management, and dairy production, they play a vital role in empowering dairy farmers, increasing local milk production, and strengthening our nation's food security.
Every healthy dairy animal, every liter of fresh milk produced, and every thriving dairy enterprise reflects the commitment and hard work of our agriculturists working alongside our farmers and stakeholders. Their passion for innovation and service continues to build a more resilient and self-sufficient dairy sector for future generations.
As we celebrate this month, let us recognize and thank all agriculturists whose dedication helps nourish Filipino families and transforms challenges into opportunities for the country's dairy industry.
The observance of Philippine Agriculturists' Month every July is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 544, signed on June 23, 2004, recognizing the invaluable contributions of agriculturists to the country's agricultural and national development.
To all Filipino Agriculturists, especially those serving the dairy industry thank you for your dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to nourishing the nation. Happy Philippine Agriculturists' Month! ๐ต๐ญ๐ฅ๐พ

The Philippines is projected to increase its milk self-sufficiency rate by just over one percentage point this year, driven by the arrival of imported cattle to expand the local herd and boost production, according to the National Dairy Authority (NDA).
NDA Administrator Marcus Antonius Andaya said the agency has set a 3.3 percent milk self-sufficiency target for 2026, up from 2.2 percent in 2025. He noted that the country is on track to slightly reduce its dependence on foreign dairy through stronger local production, which is forecast to grow by 22 percent to a record-high 53 million liters, up from last yearโs 43.3 million liters.
