UPLiFT is known for providing both financial services (micro-loans, savings) and non-financial services (business and skills trainings) to help urban poor families achieve self-reliance. The meeting objective is to explore opportunities for collaboration in livelihood support, skills training, and poverty alleviation within NHA communities.

Building Futures Together: NHA and DA-PhilFIDA Ink Agreement on April 23, 2025.

A significant step towards enhancing livelihood opportunities for NHA communities was taken today with the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Department of Agriculture - Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (DA-PhilFIDA). Inspired by the proven effectiveness of DA-PhilFIDA's skills training programs, this collaboration, nurtured through consultative meetings since 2023, will bring valuable skills and economic empowerment to NHA beneficiaries.

Key figures present at the signing included Mr. Arnold "Ali" Atienza, Executive Director III of DA-PhilFIDA, Ms. Concepcion D. Jocson, OIC-Division Manager of DA-PhilFIDA's Fiber Utilization and Technology Division, and representing the NHA, Mr. Donhill V. Alcain, OIC-Department Manager of the Community Support Services Department, and Ms. Maria Luisa V. Estuaria, OIC-Division Manager of the Socio-Economic Development Division.
