The Miriam College SDTEC Library organized a bookmark making event attended by students as part of the vibrant celebration of 𝟯𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 and 𝟴𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, exhibiting some of the students' amazing layouts and bright works from their favorite books and to the characters they fell in love with while reading.
The goal of this event is to bring back the conventional way of reading a book. A bookmark is also an effective tool to prevent a book from harm by protecting each page, as well as to make a reader's devouring literature more meaningful. This is also an excellent time and opportunity for a student to practice their creativity and resourcefulness.
Student outputs of personalized bookmarks were displayed through hanging them in the hallways, showcasing their ingenuity. On November 30, it will also be included once more for the closing ceremony. SDTEC students are truly extraordinary!
