February has been a busy but fulfilling month for ISDA π₯Ήπ«Ά
Our applicants are off to a whale-y good start! Through three sessions of Basic Underwater Courses (BUCs 1 & 2), theyβve built a strong foundation in skin diving.
From marine identification and breathing techniques to treading and beyond, weβve witnessed them grow into more confident and capable ocean stewards π

Your journey with skin diving and marine conservation may not be with ISDA, but never believe your chance to join the advocacy elsewhere is lost!

Hey hey Atenean! Still thinking about whether or not you should send in that application? Here are some words from ISDA's previous batches to give you some inspiration, from one generation to the next.
ISDA is more than an organization, it's a community brought together by the love of our oceans, and our driving desire to conserve and protect all that reside in them and those that depend on their resources. Don't be afraid to dive into new depths, be open to change, growth, and cultivation of something wonderful.
Apply before the forms close tonight at 9PM!

Been wondering what we've been up to? Before we dive into the new day, here's everything Batch 1.1 has been cooking up.
Since October, Batch 1.1 has been steadily building up the foundation, training, planning, designing a new application process, and working on properly inheriting the baton passed down from the alumni of ISDA.
Eager to see more of what we have planned? Stay tuned for the official recruitment post to become a part of the restoration of ISDA!

We are gathering funds for Brgy. Wawa Ibaba and Brgy. Talisay in Batangas. We would like to request for any and all donations to help these communities rebuild from the devastation of Bagyo Kristine earlier this October.
In Barangay Wawa Ibaba, floods reached a peak of around a person's height. Houses remain standing, but their interior and contents sustained serious water damage. Around 6-10 families were affected. The main priorities for Wawa Ibaba are food, water, baby supplies, and hygene kits. There haven't been any efforts for relief seen in the area.
In Mt. Malarayat, Brgy. Talisay, the river overflowed, and is currently cutting people off from resources. Although they haven't sustained any casualties and have power in some parts, they need assistance in augmenting their food and water supplies. Around 30 families reside in the area, and relief efforts have yet to be seen.
We welcome cash donations of any size, which we will send as aid to these two communities. Please share this and spread the word. Your support will mean so much in these trying times.
