𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 (𝑳𝒀𝑫𝑶) of the Municipality of Datu Odin Sinsuat successfully conducted the Community Information and Education Campaign (IEC) under the 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑽𝒖𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑬𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 (𝑩𝑹𝑨𝑽𝑬) 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕, entitled 𝗥𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢 𝗠𝗢, 𝗞𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗢: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The BRAVE Project was introduced to the Municipality of Datu Odin Sinsuat by the 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒖𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒐 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚, 𝑰𝒏𝒄. (𝑪𝑩𝑪𝑺) to strengthen efforts toward inclusive civil registration and ensure that every child has access to a legal identity. Through this initiative, CBCS generously provided 1,000 𝑭𝑹𝑬𝑬 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒔 to the municipality, enabling eligible children and families to secure their birth registration at no cost.

The activity gathered the 34 Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons and members of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), equipping them to become youth advocates in promoting the importance of birth registration in their respective barangays. During the program, the 1,000 FREE Birth Registration slots were formally turned over to the participating SK Chairpersons and youth leaders, who will facilitate and implement the birth registration initiative within their respective communities, ensuring that more children and families gain access to their fundamental right to legal identity.

The success of the activity was further strengthened by the dedication of our BRAVE Advocates, namely:

A special commendation is extended to 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐀. 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐬 and 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐓. 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫, who served as the Resource Speakers during the program. Their insightful discussions, passion for youth empowerment, and commitment to promoting inclusive birth registration inspired the participants and greatly contributed to the success of the Community IEC. Their meaningful participation reflects the vital role of young leaders in advancing awareness and protecting every individual's right to legal identity.

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of LGU Datu Odin Sinsuat successfully participated in the Birth Registration Advocacy for Vulnerable Populations to End Childhood Statelessness (BRAVE) Training Program held on April 6–9, 2026, at Eighty-Eight Hotel, Koronadal City.

Representing the Municipality of Datu Odin Sinsuat were the Local Youth Development Officer and representatives from various youth organizations, namely:

𝑶𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒖𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒐 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚 (𝑪𝑩𝑪𝑺) 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑪𝑬𝑭, the training strengthened the capacity of youth leaders and stakeholders in advocating for birth registration, identifying barriers faced by vulnerable populations, and promoting every child's right to a legal identity. The activity also served as a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among advocates committed to ending childhood statelessness in the Bangsamoro region.

As a significant outcome of the training, LGU Datu Odin Sinsuat was awarded a Seed Grant worth Fifty Thousand Pesos (₱50,000.00) to support the implementation of local initiatives and advocacy efforts aimed at improving birth registration and ensuring that more children gain access to their legal identity and essential services.

The Local Youth Development Office extends its heartfelt gratitude to 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑨𝒃𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏 “𝑩𝒂𝒃𝒂” 𝐏. Project ITUNGAN has successfully transformed the youth of Barangay Kusiong into a resilient network of "Next-Gen Advocates." By bridging the gap between traditional culture and modern mental health literacy, our coastal youth are now equipped with practical grounding techniques and a sustainable peer-support system.

This milestone was made possible through the visionary leadership of 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒃𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝑷. 𝑨𝒃𝒂𝒔, 𝑺𝒓., 𝑨𝒍-𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒋 and the vital collaborative support of 𝑺𝑲 𝑭𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒖 𝑹𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒏𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒏 𝑼. 𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒂𝒕, whose commitment and additional financial assistance were instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Another Successful Rollout: 𝓔𝓷𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓒𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓭 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓒𝓪𝓹𝓪𝓬𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓼 — 𝓔𝓶𝓹𝓸𝔀𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓛𝓖𝓤 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓴𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓬𝓮 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓼

The activity was conducted in Brgy. Labungan, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte. This initiative centered on addressing critical child protection issues and concerns, with a particular focus on the six grave child rights violations. Additionally, the activity introduced and strengthened the BARMM Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence (CPGBV) Referral Pathway to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding children's rights.

The event aimed to enhance the child protection system in the DOS municipality by building the capacities of both the Local Government Units (LGU) and Barangay Local Government Units (BLGU), while also empowering local communities.

Implemented by CFSI under the leadership of 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐡𝐣𝐚𝐦 𝐁. 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐑𝐒𝐖, in collaboration with the LGU, the initiative was supported by key partners, including 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦, 𝐑𝐒𝐖 from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWO), and 𝐒𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐀. 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐝, 𝐑𝐒𝐖, 𝐌𝐏𝐀 from the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO). The event was further bolstered by the active participation of the SK Federation President, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐭, who encouraged youth and children's involvement throughout the activity.
