FILIPINO ELDERLY WEEK 2026 | MUNICIPALITY OF DINAS
The Municipality of Dinas proudly joined the celebration of Filipino Elderly Week 2026, honoring and recognizing the invaluable contributions, wisdom, and significant role of our senior citizens in our families, communities, and society.
The successful celebration was made possible through the active cooperation and support of our Local Government Unit officials and employees, headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Eleazer Y. Asoy, together with Municipal Administrator Ma’am Irene Asoy.
The activity was organized through the concerted efforts of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), headed by Ma’am Karen B. Canalija, RSW, in partnership with the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), headed by Ma’am Corazon C. Bernante, with the support of the various LGU offices, participating senior citizens, and stakeholders.
It was also a great privilege and honor to welcome Provincial Governor Hon. Divina Grace C. Yu, whose visit to the Municipality of Dinas and presence during the celebration added special significance to this meaningful occasion. Her presence and support exemplify the continued commitment of the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur to promoting the welfare, dignity, and well-being of our senior citizens.
To all our beloved senior citizens, thank you for your years of service, love, sacrifices, wisdom, and invaluable contributions to our families and community. You are valued, respected, and celebrated!
