🚨 PROJECT ABTIK: Strengthening Preparedness and Resilience, One Step at a Time! 🩹📣

The DepEd Dipolog DRRMS continues to champion a culture of preparedness and resilience through the distribution of emergency first aid kits and whistles to Schools Division Office (SDO) personnel under Project ABTIK – Advancing Balanced Training and Inclusive Knowledge for Disaster-Resilient Education.

Despite limited resources, the DRRMS remains committed to prioritizing essential emergency preparedness supplies to help ensure the safety and readiness of our SDO personnel. These simple yet vital items can make a meaningful difference in responding to emergencies and strengthening our capacity to serve and protect our education community.

We believe that disaster preparedness begins with equipping our people with the basic tools they need to respond when it matters most. By investing in preparedness today, we strengthen our collective resilience and our commitment to providing continuous, safe, and responsive public service to our constituents.

Because being prepared is not just a responsibility—it is a commitment to protect lives and serve with confidence! 💪

🌱 EMPOWERING YOUNG LEADERS THROUGH INSPIRATION AND MISSION (ELIM): A DRRM YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAM

Building safer, more peaceful, and resilient schools through faith, values, and disaster preparedness! 💙🛡️

The DepEd Dipolog City Division, through the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Section (DRRMS), successfully conducted the first session of Empowering Young Leaders through Inspiration and Mission (ELIM), a DRRM Youth Intervention Program, on October 23, 2026, at Dipolog City National High School (DCNHS), with the active participation of more than 300 Junior High School learners.

Facilitated by the DRRMS in partnership with the Elim Youth Ministry Dipolog, this 10-session youth development program seeks to integrate values formation and spiritual enrichment with Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) concepts and practices. It serves as a proactive response to the growing concern over school violence nationwide, recognizing that building safer schools requires not only preparedness for physical hazards but also the nurturing of learners’ character, compassion, and emotional resilience.

Anchored on the Recovery component of DRRM, in line with DepEd Order No. 21, s. 2015, the program integrates the four DRRM thematic areas: Prevention and Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. Through faith-based values formation and meaningful community engagement, learners are encouraged to develop empathy, manage stress, resolve conflicts peacefully, and cultivate a deeper sense of responsibility toward themselves and others.

Beyond disaster preparedness, ELIM envisions young leaders who are equipped to face life’s challenges with courage, compassion, hope, and faith. By strengthening both the inner resilience and practical readiness of learners, we aspire to foster a school environment where every learner feels safe, valued, supported, and empowered to become an agent of positive change.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the DCNHS faculty and staff, headed by Mrs. Loela R. Ben-Eli, and the Elim Youth Ministry, headed by Bro. Danny S. Oncines, for their invaluable partnership and wholehearted support in making this meaningful initiative a success.

Together, let us continue to inspire our young people to become leaders who are not only prepared and ready for disasters, but also resilient and compassionate in facing life’s challenges.

ELIM: Inspiring Faith. Forming Values. Empowering Young Leaders. Building Resilient Schools. 💙🙏
