The Dolores Fire Station Personnel Under the leadership of 𝗦𝗙𝗢𝟭 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗜𝘃𝘆 𝗠 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗲, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Dolores, especially to 𝗛𝗼𝗻. Under the leadership of SFO1 Gloria Ivy M Macawile, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, personnel of Dolores Fire Station conducted a Fire Safety Awareness Campaign at Dolores Central Elementary School. The activity included the distribution of fire safety flyers and an informative discussion aimed at educating young learners on essential fire prevention measures and emergency preparedness.

This initiative forms part of the BFP Region VIII Safe School Initiative, which seeks to instill a culture of safety and preparedness among students at an early age. Through engaging discussions and educational materials, learners were equipped with basic knowledge on fire safety practices, helping them become more aware of potential fire hazards and the importance of responding appropriately during emergencies.

The Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to promoting fire safety awareness within educational institutions and empowering communities through continuous public education programs. By investing in the knowledge and preparedness of our youth, we contribute to building safer schools and more resilient communities.

Dolores Fire Station, through the leadership of SFO1 Gloria Ivy M Macawile, Acting-Municipal Fire Marshal, would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Dolores, headed by our supportive and diligent Municipal Mayor, HON. ZALDY R CARPESO, MD for the release and utilization of the 20% LGU share from the Fire Code Fees and Taxes collected by the Bureau of Fire Protection – Dolores Fire Station.
The turnover of these LGU-procured station support equipment and essential facility items will greatly contribute to improve its service, operational readiness, and overall welfare of our personnel. These provisions will help maintain a more functional and conducive station environment as we continue to provide a more efficient, quality, and dedicated public service to the people of Dolores

Under the leadership of 𝗦𝗙𝗢𝟭 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗜𝘃𝘆 𝗠 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗲, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹, personnel from Dolores Fire Station, conducted a house to house survey among target households as part Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) in formulation of Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) at Brgy. Dapdap, Dolores Eastern Samar.

This activity focused on conducting a house-to-house fire safety awareness campaign within the barangay to identify potential fire hazards and strengthen community preparedness. During the visits, BFP personnel assessed household surroundings, engaged directly with residents, and provided essential fire safety information. Key topics included the safe use of electrical appliances, proper cooking practices, correct storage of flammable materials, and the importance of maintaining clean, organized, and accessible surroundings. Through this community-based approach, residents were encouraged to adopt fire prevention measures and actively participate in creating a safer and more fire-resilient barangay.

Under the leadership of 𝗦𝗙𝗢𝟭 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗜𝘃𝘆 𝗠 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗲, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹, personnel from Dolores Fire Station, participated as evaluators during the recently concluded Typhoon Simulation Exercise held on May 28, 2026, at Barangay Dampigan.
This activity was conducted in coordination with Sentro para sa Ikauunlad ng Katutubong Agham at Teknolohiya Inc. (SIKAT), a non-profit and community-based organization dedicated to empowering coastal communities through disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and coastal resource management programs.
The simulation drill forms part of the “Strengthening Harmonized Action for Disaster Risk Reduction, Preparedness and Early Recovery Project (SHARPER)”. Typhoon simulations also educate communities about safety procedures, such as evacuating to shelters and preparing emergency supplies. By identifying weaknesses in disaster plans and improving readiness, these exercises help reduce casualties, minimize damage to property, and ensure a faster and more organized response when a real typhoon occurs.
