The Municipal Government of Dumanjug, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Efren Guntrano Z. Gica, successfully concluded the 171st Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Dumanjug, with the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO), headed by Al Jay P. Alviola, leading safety, preparedness, and emergency response operations.

Preparations started on September 22, 2026, with a Final Operational Briefing to ensure effective coordination and readiness throughout the celebration.

The festivities culminated by the Dahunog Dumanjug Concert on October 4, 2026, at the Cebu Technological Universityโ€“Dumanjug Grounds, featuring Gloc-9, FlowG, Skusta Clee, Powerspoonz, and Pytha.

Behind the celebration was a strong network of responders and partner agencies working together to keep everyone safe. The Municipality of Dumanjug Traffic Operations and Development Authority (MD-TODA) managed traffic and road safety, while the Emergency Response Team (ERT) provided pre-hospital care and transported patients requiring further medical attention.

The LDRRMO also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Dumanjug Rural Health Unit (RHU) headed by Dr. April M. Cortes, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) headed by FINSP Rudipher Comeros, and Philippine National Police (PNP) headed by PMAJ Mark Anthony A. Villanueva for their vital support in medical assistance, fire safety, emergency preparedness, peace and order, and overall public safety.

Special thanks are likewise extended to Dumanjug Responders Operation Networks and Emergency Services, Inc. (DRONES, Inc.) headed by Yolando B. Eumague for their valuable assistance and commitment to emergency response operations.

The LDRRMO is equally grateful to the Municipal Mayor of Ronda Hon. Chantilli Ann Victoria Blanco, Municipal Mayor of Alcantara Hon. Fritz A. Lastimoso, and Municipal Mayor of Moalboal Hon. Inocentes G. Cabaron, for supporting the celebration through the deployment of personnel from their respective Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (LDRRMOs).

Through the unity, coordination, and dedication of responders, health workers, traffic personnel, police and fire personnel, partner local government units, and volunteers, the 171st Founding Anniversary celebration was successfully concluded safely, orderly, and successfully.
