DPACT PARTICIPATES IN NSTP FIRST AID TRAINING

October 3, 2026 — The Disaster Preparedness Action Team (DPACT) participated in the NSTP First Aid Training, aimed at equipping students with basic knowledge and skills in emergency response.

DPACT Incident Commander Jerecho Niemez served as a resource speaker, sharing his knowledge, experiences, and valuable advice with the future first aiders.

The event also marked the start of the basic training for newly recruited DPACT members, strengthening their skills and commitment to disaster preparedness and community safety.

Disaster Preparedness Action Team (DPACT) Joins National Earthquake Drill

September 10, 2026 | Capiz State University – Dumarao Campus

The Dumarao Preparedness Action Team (DPACT) headed and actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today at Capiz State University – Dumarao Campus.

The activity aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness and response among students, faculty, and staff through proper emergency procedures, including Duck, Cover, and Hold and orderly evacuation.

The successful drill highlights the importance of preparedness, cooperation, and readiness in keeping the community safe during earthquakes.

DRRM Dumarao Action Team Joins ASEAN 59th Anniversary Activity

The DRRM–Dumarao Action Team joined the clean-up drive and tree planting activity held at Capiz State University (CapSU) Dumarao Satellite College on August 27, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 59th ASEAN Anniversary.

The activity brought everyone together to help keep the school clean and green while promoting environmental awareness and disaster resilience. Through simple acts like cleaning and planting trees, the team showed that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility.

Together, we can make our community cleaner, greener, and more resilient.

CAPSU Dumarao Satellite College Participates in a National Earthquake Exercise

On June 18, 2026, CAPSU Dumarao Satellite College held an earthquake drill for its instructors and staff as part of the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026.

The exercise was designed to improve preparedness for disasters and guarantee that workers have the right information and abilities to react in the event of an earthquake. Participants followed the specified evacuation instructions and performed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique.
The institution reiterated its dedication to encouraging safety, readiness, and resilience among the campus community through this program.

Capiz State University - Dumarao Satellite College (CAPSU) will participate in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 as mandated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council through Memorandum No. 15, s. 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote proper response during earthquake emergencies in schools and communities.

Through this drill, students, faculty, and staff will practice safety procedures such as “Duck, Cover, and Hold” and proper evacuation, helping build awareness, readiness, and resilience within the CAPSU community.

DRRM DPACT Participates in the 18th University Sportsfest and Conference

The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management – Disaster Preparedness and Action Team (DRRM DPACT) actively participated in the 18th University Sportsfest and Conference to help ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. During the event, the DRRM DPACT worked in close coordination with the Red Cross, providing assistance in emergency response and rescue operations.

Their presence strengthened on-site preparedness, allowing for immediate response to medical and safety concerns throughout the sportsfest. The collaboration between DRRM DPACT and the Red Cross highlighted the importance of teamwork, readiness, and proactive disaster management during large-scale university activities.

Through this participation, DRRM DPACT demonstrated its commitment to promoting safety, preparedness, and effective emergency response within the university community.
