CHS Supreme Secondary Learner Government

DFSSLG & DFSELG GO TO BALUT ISLAND FOR PROJECT S.A.G.I.P.

June 19–20, 2026

In a remarkable display of solidarity and compassion, the Division Federation of Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG) and the Division Federation of Supreme Elementary Learner Government (DFSELG) successfully conducted the Project S.A.G.I.P. Balut Island Relief Operation for communities affected by the recent earthquake in Balut Island.

A total of 225 relief packs, out of the 425 relief packs prepared, were distributed to residents of Barangays Patuco, Tucal, and Mabila—three of the hardest-hit communities on the island.

The relief goods were personally delivered by DFSSLG President Chris G. Evidientes and DFSSLG Adviser Dexter John R. Yumang, who traveled to the remote barangays to ensure that assistance reached families in need.

This humanitarian initiative was spearheaded in partnership with the Kasugbong Young Leaders Society (KYLS) and made possible through the generous support of Patwoods Incorporated, Greek Council, Pi Omicron Fraternity and Delta Pi Omicron Sorority, Yanie’s Chicken House, Alpha Theta Lambda Fraternity, the Different Supreme Secondary Learner Governments of SDO General Santos City, and St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.

Through the collective efforts of its partners and donors, the project generated an estimated ₱168,000 worth of cash and in-kind donations, providing vital assistance to affected residents.

Project S.A.G.I.P. Balut Island marks the second wave of humanitarian response efforts undertaken by the DFSSLG and DFSELG, reaffirming their commitment to service, community engagement, and disaster response.

The CHS SSLG, together with Batang Star MSU Community, successfully carried out a mission in San Jose, General Santos City, extending support to communities affected by the recent earthquake.

Through the collective efforts of volunteers, healthcare workers, donors, and partners, we were able to provide relief assistance and basic medical services to families who continue to face the challenges brought by the disaster.

This initiative serves as a reminder that compassion and unity can create a meaningful impact. We sincerely thank everyone who shared their generosity and helped us bring comfort, hope, and assistance to those in need.

Healing and rebuilding take time, but with bayanihan and shared commitment, we can help communities rise stronger and more resilient.

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order No. 38, Series of 2026, inalis na ng Local Government Unit ng General Santos City ang suspensyon ng mga klase sa lahat ng antas—pampubliko man o pribado—simula Hunyo 18, 2026.

Ang mga school heads ang magpapasya kung anong learning modality ang pinakaangkop at pinakaligtas para sa kanilang paaralan—modular, online, blended, o iba pang naaangkop na pamamaraan—alinsunod sa mga umiiral na alituntunin ng DepEd.

Bukod dito, ang unang tatlong (3) araw ng klase ay ilalaan sa Psychosocial First Aid (PFA) at iba pang recovery activities upang matulungan ang mga mag-aaral at kawani na unti-unting makabangon mula sa epekto ng lindol.

Mangyaring sundin ang mga opisyal na abiso mula sa inyong paaralan hinggil sa ipatutupad na learning modality.
