On 24 April 2026, the Handover Ceremony of Task Force Gensan was successfully conducted at the Family Country Hotel and Convention Center, signifying the transition of operational control from Western Mindanao Command (WESTMINCOM) to Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM).
Consequently, the supervision of Task Force Gensan was transferred from the JTF Central / 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division to the JTF Agila / 10th Infantry “Agila” Division.
The ceremony was highlighted by the symbolic turn-over of operational jurisdiction, doffing and donning of division patches signifying unit realignment, and the presentation of awards recognizing the exemplary service of the personnel and the unit.
The ceremony was graced by the City Mayor, HON. LORELIE G. PACQUIAO, represented by Hon. Richard L. Atendido—City Councilor, and Mr. Lou R. Bernardino—Executive Assistant, extended official welcome to the 10ID Commander, MGEN ALVIN V LUZON PA, and conveyed appreciation to the 6ID Commander, MGEN JOSE VLADIMIR R CAGARA PA.
The Local Government Unit of General Santos City likewise expressed its continued support and appreciation to COL PINPIN for his steadfast leadership and commitment in maintaining peace, security, and stability within the community and the people of General Santos City.
