1st Quarter Municipal Development Council (MDC) Meeting – LGU Tupi

The 1st Quarter MDC Meeting of the Local Government Unit of Tupi was held on March 24, 2025 at the 2nd Floor of the MSWDO Building. The meeting was attended by barangay captains, CSO representatives, and department heads who gathered to discuss key programs, updates, and priorities of the municipality. 📊🤝

Part of the meeting was the presentation of updates and accomplishments from different offices and sectors. This helped the council review the progress of ongoing programs and identify areas that need support and improvement. Through this activity, the LGU continues to strengthen coordination and planning for the development of the community. 🌱🏛️

The Tupi Local Zoning Board of Appeals held a meeting together with the Philippine Coconut Authority and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) to discuss the proposed ₱20-million White Copra and Coconut Oil Shared Service Facility. The project is planned to be located at Purok Small Spring, Barangay Cebuano, Tupi.

This proposed facility aims to support our local coconut farmers by providing better processing services, improving product quality, and increasing income opportunities. Once approved, the project will be implemented within the year as part of the continued effort to strengthen agriculture and promote local economic growth.

The Municipality of Tupi conducted the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) 2026–2031 with the active participation of different LGU offices, National Government Agencies, Non-Government Organizations, and other stakeholders. The activity was led by the Municipal Planning and Development Office under the guidance of Sir Louie Manansala, EnP, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator. This activity aims to create clear plans, programs, and projects that will guide the growth and development of Tupi for the next six years. It shows the strong partnership and shared responsibility of everyone in building a better community.

Through the leadership of Mayor Romeo Tamayo , Tupi continues to move forward with clear direction and purpose. Sir Juanito Agullana, DILG-MLGOO, also shared his wisdom and guidance during the activity, reminding everyone of the importance of good planning and unity in achieving real progress for the people of Tupi.
