The 𝗥𝗠𝗠𝗖 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆, in partnership with 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗡𝗕𝗗𝗕) and the 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗦) 𝗢𝗝𝗧 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, conducted a community outreach program on October 23, 2026, at the 𝗔. 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹.

The program began with a welcome message from Ma’am Ella Pelonia, Reading Center In-Charge, followed by an inspirational message from Ma’am Salome L. Rocacurva.

The pupils participated in engaging educational activities, including storytelling, book talks, and coloring activities. School supplies were also distributed to support the pupils’ educational needs. As part of the initiative, The 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 to the 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, represented by Sir Marlon Ranises.

Through this collaborative effort, the RMMC College Library continues to promote literacy, encourage reading among children, and support community-based learning initiatives.
Together, let us nurture a love for reading and inspire a lifelong journey of learning. 📖💙

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) College Library, headed by Library Director Ma'am Salome L. Rocacurva, MLIS, RL, conducted a community extension visit to A. Biscayda Elementary School, Barangay Olympog, General Santos City, on August 28, 2026.

‎The library team conducted the visit as part of its community extension initiatives aimed at supporting the school and promoting the value of library services and resources within the community. The team was warmly welcomed by the school’s newly appointed Principal, Marilyn Adeser, who expressed her appreciation for the library’s efforts to support the school’s educational initiatives.

The initiative highlights the RMMC College Library’s commitment to promoting literacy, supporting learning, and fostering community development through meaningful institutional partnerships.

General Santos City — February 13, 2026
The Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) Library, in partnership with the Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BACOMM) program, successfully conducted a Community Outreach Program at A. Biscayda Elementary School (ABES), Barangay Olympog, General Santos City, carrying the theme “Sharing Hearts, Sharing Stories.”

The activity was spearheaded by the RMMC librarians, together with Ms. Angelyn C. Ungkal, School Principal of ABES, BACOMM students, and participating attendees from the community. The initiative aimed to promote literacy, creativity, and meaningful engagement among young learners through interactive educational activities.
One of the highlights of the event was the storytelling session led by BACOMM student Ms. Jan Richael Bravo, joined by ABES pupil Lheira C. Abdul. The collaborative storytelling captivated the children, encouraging imagination and fostering a love for reading.

The program concluded on a joyful note as the pupils received gift packs prepared by the outreach team, bringing smiles and appreciation from both students and teachers.

With the successful conduct of the activity, both institutions signed a memorandum of agreement, strengthening their partnership. The community now looks forward to more meaningful outreach programs in the coming years, continuing the shared commitment to education and service.

On 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the OJT students under the supervision of the RMMC Librarians 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 the 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹. This Reading Center was initiated by the RMMC Library as part of its continuing community outreach initiative. An orientation for the faculty and staff was also conducted to ensure proper handling and effective management of the Reading Center.
