To all commuters, if you encounter a tricycle driver who behaves rudely, disrespectfully, or inappropriately, please remember to:

📸 Take a clear photo of the tricycle and its plate number.
📝 Remember the date, time, and location of the incident, if possible.
📞 Report the incident to the proper authorities so the vehicle and driver can be properly identified and traced.

Sa kalsada, respeto at pag-iingat—pareho tayong may pananagutan.

Ang kaligtasan sa daan ay hindi lamang responsibilidad ng mga driver o pedestrians—responsibilidad nating lahat. 🤝

🚶 Para sa mga Pedestrians:
✅ Gumamit ng pedestrian lane/crosswalk.
✅ Tumingin sa kaliwa, kanan, at muli sa kaliwa bago tumawid.
✅ Huwag biglang tumawid o tumakbo papunta sa kalsada.
✅ Iwasang gumamit ng cellphone o earphones habang tumatawid.
✅ Siguraduhing huminto ang mga sasakyan bago tumawid.

🚗 Para sa mga Drivers:
✅ Magbagal at maging alerto kapag papalapit sa pedestrian lane.
✅ Magbigay-daan sa mga pedestrian na tumatawid o tatawid.
✅ Huwag mag-overtake sa sasakyang humihinto para magbigay-daan.
✅ Huwag huminto o mag-park sa pedestrian lane.
✅ Iwasan ang paggamit ng cellphone habang nagmamaneho.
✅ Laging sundin ang traffic rules, signs, signals, at speed limits.

PASTORAL VISITATION

“Strengthening the Spirit Behind the Service”

PMAJ ALYN M. SABAS, OIC, Regional Pastoral Officer 12, conducted a pastoral visitation to the personnel of the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), General Santos City Police Office.

The visitation focused on providing spiritual guidance, encouragement, and pastoral care to PNP personnel as they continue to fulfill their duties in serving and protecting the community. It also served as an opportunity to remind our personnel of the importance of faith, compassion, integrity, and commitment in carrying out their responsibilities.

Through moments of reflection and spiritual fellowship, the activity strengthened the morale and spiritual well-being of TEU personnel—reminding us that behind every uniform is a person who also needs strength, guidance, and faith.

🚦 ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS SEMINAR

The Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), GSCPO conducted a Road Safety Awareness Seminar on October 5, 2026 at the Albacore Conference Room, MGTR, Purok Ngilay, Barangay Tambler, General Santos City.

The activity aimed to strengthen the participants’ awareness and understanding of traffic rules and regulations through informative lectures, discussions, and practical examples of common traffic situations particularly on pedestrian safety and the proper use of pedestrian lanes.

🚶 PEDESTRIAN SAFETY MATTERS

The TEU emphasized the importance of pedestrian lanes and the shared responsibility of both drivers and pedestrians in keeping our roads safe.

🔹 For Drivers: Always respect pedestrian lanes and yield to pedestrians who are crossing or about to cross. Slow down and remain alert, especially near designated pedestrian crossings.

🔹 For Pedestrians: Always use the designated pedestrian lane when crossing the road. Avoid using your cellphone while crossing, stay alert, and look left and right before crossing to make sure the road is clear.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of following traffic rules and regulations, practicing discipline, and being responsible road users. By respecting pedestrian lanes, yielding when required, staying alert, and following traffic regulations, both drivers and pedestrians can help prevent road crashes and protect lives.

Road safety is a shared responsibility. A few seconds of caution can save a life. Let us practice discipline, courtesy, and responsibility every time we use the road.

🚦 TEU STRENGTHENS ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS DURING TRANSPORT DAY CELEBRATION IN LINE WITH THE 14TH KAGATBU FESTIVAL

The Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) of the General Santos City Police Office conducted a Road Safety Lecture during the Transport Day Celebration on September 12, 2026, at the Bulaong Satellite Office, Barangay Labangal, General Santos City, in line with the 14th Kagatbu Festival and 67th Foundation Anniversary.

The activity brought together transport workers, commuters, and community members to promote greater awareness and understanding of road safety, traffic rules and regulations, responsible driving, passenger safety, and the rights and responsibilities of transport workers and road users.

Through the sharing of practical knowledge and reminders on safe and responsible road use, the activity aimed to encourage discipline, compliance, and responsible behavior among all road users, while helping prevent traffic-related incidents and promote safer journeys.

This initiative reflects the continuing commitment of the PNP-TEU to strengthen road safety advocacy through education and community partnership, contributing to safer roads and a more responsible transport community in General Santos City. 🚦👮‍♂️

OFFICIAL UPDATE REGARDING THE VIRAL TRICYCLE VIDEO

Para sa kaalaman ng publiko, ang driver na makikita sa viral video ay kusang-loob na nagtungo sa aming tanggapan upang magbigay ng kanyang panig at paglilinaw kaugnay ng nasabing insidente.

Ang indibidwal na sangkot sa insidente ay nagtungo rin sa aming tanggapan kasama ang kanyang kapatid upang makipag-ugnayan at magbigay ng kaukulang impormasyon hinggil sa pangyayari.

Bilang bahagi ng isinagawang beripikasyon, hiniling sa driver na ipakita ang kanyang Driver’s License at mga kaukulang dokumento ng tricycle. Sa oras ng beripikasyon, wala siyang naipakitang mga nasabing dokumento. Kaugnay nito, siya ay inisyuhan ng Citation Ticket, at ang tricycle ay isinailalim sa impoundment, alinsunod sa umiiral na mga batas, ordinansa, at kaukulang pamamaraan.

Samantala, ang mga panig na sangkot ay ini-endorso sa Police Station 1 – Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) para sa kaukulang paghawak, dokumentasyon, at imbestigasyon ng insidente, kabilang ang pagtukoy sa anumang nararapat na aksyon batay sa mga resulta ng imbestigasyon.

Ang pahayag na ito ay inilalabas upang magbigay ng paunang paglilinaw sa publiko. Ang anumang pananagutan o kaukulang legal na aksyon ay nakasalalay sa resulta ng isinasagawang imbestigasyon at sa kaukulang proseso ng batas.

Hinihikayat ang publiko na umiwas sa pagpapakalat ng hindi beripikadong impormasyon at igalang ang karapatan ng lahat ng panig sa due process.

📢 HELP US IDENTIFY

The Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a vehicular accident that occurred at about 6:10 AM on September 22, 2026, along San Jose Road, Purok Ric Vill, in front of JC Store, Barangay San Jose, General Santos City.

The vehicle involved was a red Motorstar motorcycle bearing plate number MA 78929.

Anyone who may recognize the individual or have relevant information is encouraged to coordinate with or personally visit the TEU Office for proper verification and assistance.
