The College of Social Sciences and Humanities proudly recognizes the student researchers who were conferred the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 in the 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 during 𝗞𝗮𝗳𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹: 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗻ú𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, held via Zoom Conferencing on May 29, 2026. Their work exemplified scholarly excellence through the effective integration of critical analysis, methodological rigor, and compelling visual presentation.

The awarded research posters reflected meaningful engagement with contemporary social issues and demonstrated the ability of student-led research to contribute valuable insights to academic and societal discussions. Through their presentations, the student researchers showcased critical thinking, creativity, and a strong commitment to scholarly inquiry.

There comes a defining moment in every democratic exercise when the collective voice of the people is transformed into a mandate for leadership. Today marks that moment.

Following the successful conduct of the elections and the official canvassing of votes, the Parliament of Political Science Students formally proclaims the candidates who have been duly elected by the Political Science student body to serve as its next representatives and leaders.

This declaration signifies more than the conclusion of an electoral process—it affirms the enduring values of democracy, participation, and responsible governance that lie at the heart of political engagement. Through the confidence bestowed upon them by their constituents, the newly elected officials are entrusted with the responsibility of championing student interests, fostering meaningful representation, and upholding the principles upon which this institution stands.

Pursuant to the conduct of the 5th Gawad Bughaw Awards 2026, and upon the evaluation and endorsement of the duly constituted Selection and Tabulation Committee, all qualified students who have complied with the prescribed requirements are hereby recognized as official awardees for their excellence, leadership, service, and invaluable contributions to the Department of Political Science.

The final and official list of awardees is reflected in the attached document forming part of this Special Order. The conferment of awards shall take place during the official awarding ceremony of the 5th Gawad Bughaw Awards 2026.
All members and concerned individuals are enjoined to extend their recognition and support to the awardees in celebration of their achievements and continued commitment to academic excellence and service.

📢 PPSS Election Day 2026

Today, every voice carries weight.

The conduct of elections stands as a reflection of the democratic values upheld by the Parliament of Political Science Students (PPSS). More than a simple exercise of voting, it is an opportunity for every member to participate in shaping the future of the organization and to contribute to a leadership that reflects the collective aspirations of the student body.

🗳️ VOTING PROCEDURE

The official Google Form voting links shall be disseminated through the respective year-level group chats by the designated PPSS Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Year Representatives. Members are advised to access only the official voting form assigned to their respective year level and accomplish their ballots within the prescribed voting period.

As students of Political Science, we are called not only to study democratic participation but also to practice it. Every ballot cast strengthens the principles of representation, accountability, and civic engagement that form the foundation of our academic discipline and organization.
