BFP Gensan Receives Contract of Usufruct for Proposed Fatima Fire Substation

June 2, 2026 | General Santos City

A significant milestone in strengthening fire protection services was achieved as the General Santos City Fire Station officially received the Deed of Usufruct for the proposed Fatima Fire Substation located in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.

Under the leadership of Acting City Fire Marshal FSUPT MARLEAP P NABOR, the document was personally received by Deputy City Fire Marshal FSINSP VON D SANCHO and Chief, Community Relations Unit SFO3 Romeo O Gentapanan.

The Bureau of Fire Protection – General Santos City extends its sincerest gratitude to the Local Government Unit of General Santos City for its unwavering support and continued partnership in advancing the BFP’s mission of safeguarding lives, properties, and the environment. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the LGU and BFP in enhancing public safety services and bringing fire protection closer to the community.

BFP Gensan Conducts Basic Firefighting Techniques Lecture for PNP Region 12 Seminar

June 4, 2026 | General Santos City

Under the leadership of Acting City Fire Marshal FSUPT MARLEAP P NABOR, BFP General Santos City supported the 5-Day Disaster Preparedness and Search, Rescue, and Retrieval Operations Seminar of PNP Region 12 through the conduct of a Basic Firefighting Techniques Lecture.

The activity was spearheaded by the Calumpang Fire Substation, headed by Substation Commander SFO3 Maria Mayla B David, providing participants with essential firefighting knowledge and skills to enhance their preparedness and emergency response capabilities.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of BFP Gensan to fostering inter-agency cooperation and promoting a culture of safety and resilience in the community.

June 3, 2026 | The General Santos City Fire Station, as the member of the City’s Special Action Committee on Public Safety, participated in the 2nd Quarter City Peace and Order Council Meeting.

FSUPT MARLEAP P NABOR, Acting City Fire Marshal, presented the ongoing programs, initiatives, and accomplishments of BFP Gensan, highlighting the bureau’s steadfast commitment to ensuring public safety, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness in the community.

June 1, 2026 | The General Santos City Fire Station actively participated in the 1st 911 Technical Working Group Meeting, represented by FSUPT MARLEAP P NABOR, Acting City Fire Marshal; FSINSP VON D SANCHO, Deputy City Fire Marshal; and SFO4 Achilles A Torres, Chief Administration.

The meeting served as a platform for strengthening inter-agency coordination and collaboration toward a more efficient and responsive emergency communication and response system for the people of General Santos City.

SNAKE RESCUE OPERATION AT BRGY LABANGAL

📌 The General Santos City Fire Station, under the leadership of Acting City Fire Marshal FSUPT MARLEAP P NABOR, successfully conducted an snake rescue operation at Purok San Roque, Brgy. Labangal, General Santos City.

The responding personnel safely rescued the snake, ensured its welfare and turned it over to proper authority.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST CONDUCTED

The General Santos City Fire Station, under the leadership of Acting City Fire Marshal FSUPT MARLEAP P NABOR, successfully conducted a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for its personnel.

The activity aims to assess and maintain the physical readiness, endurance, and overall fitness of firefighters, ensuring that they remain capable of performing their duties effectively during emergency response operations. Through regular physical fitness evaluations, personnel are encouraged to uphold a healthy lifestyle and sustain the level of preparedness required in the service.
