The National Service Training Program - Civic Welfare Training Service learners under Control Number 02026 of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges officially began its community initiative on February 28, 2026, with the approval of its Barangay Captain, Honorable Rey Cardinio, and coordination with the Purok Chairperson, Honorable Crispin Llena, along with the Sampao Women's Association President, Honorable Jennifer Borne and other Women's Association Volunteers.
It is part one of the WEAVELIFE+ Project with a theme, "Threads of Hope and Caring Hearts in Harmony" community initiative that they are launching.
This initiative aims to provide the community a good source of sustainable profit while allowing them to present their unique talents and skills on crafting. Through this initiative, the community of Sampao A, Barangay Olympog, General Santos City had a huge collaboration between the learners and other volunteers from the community, while they shared their stories of joy and the urge to awaken their social responsibility.
Indeed, this initiative is just a start of a new beginning for a change. The students embraced the moral that the people in the community shared to themβ a genuine leadership that serves for the welfare of every individual, and that in every step to help, is a step for a great change. They may not be great in number, but their heart speaks for a purpose, on what a true servant should be.
