GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mabuhay, participated in the Training on the New Government Procurement Act (Republic Act No. 12009) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

The training provided participants with a comprehensive discussion of the updated government procurement framework, including its key provisions, implementing rules and regulations, and the modernized Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (MPhilGEPS).

The activity served as an avenue for strengthening the knowledge and capacity of The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mabuhay in procurement-related policies and procedures, particularly in ensuring proper documentation, transparency, accountability, and compliance in the management of public resources.

Through participation in relevant capacity-building activities, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mabuhay continues to strengthen its institutional practices and uphold responsible, transparent, and efficient public service.

The session provided an important platform for discussing matters concerning the welfare and continued progress of Barangay Mabuhay. It also strengthened coordination between the Barangay Council and the Sangguniang Kabataan, particularly in ensuring that youth concerns, programs, and initiatives remain responsive to the needs and priorities of the community.

𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲 successfully concluded 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐖 – 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 through the 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 & 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 held on August 29, 2026, at the Purok 13 Panaghi-Usa Open Court, marking the culmination of a series of youth-centered activities conducted throughout the celebration.

The final day brought together the Kabataang Mabuhaynon through the MLBB Tournament, Acad Day, and Gawad Parangal, providing opportunities for participants to demonstrate their skills, knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The activities highlighted the diverse capabilities of the youth while fostering meaningful interaction and camaraderie among participants.

A key highlight of the celebration was the Gawad Parangal, which recognized individuals and groups for their participation, dedication, and accomplishments throughout SALIDAYAW 2026. The recognition served as an acknowledgment of the valuable contributions of the youth and the collective efforts that helped make the celebration successful.

Throughout Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, SALIDAYAW provided various avenues for young people to participate in sports, academics, creative activities, and community initiatives. These programs encouraged the youth to develop their skills, strengthen their confidence, practice leadership, and take an active role in community life.

The successful conclusion of SALIDAYAW 2026 reflects the continuing commitment of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mabuhay to creating meaningful opportunities for youth participation and development. The council extends its sincere appreciation to all participants, partners, volunteers, organizers, and supporters whose cooperation and dedication contributed to the success of this year's celebration.

As the Gawad Parangal & Culmination Night brought SALIDAYAW 2026 to a close, the celebration leaves behind meaningful memories, recognized achievements, and a renewed spirit of participation among the Kabataang Mabuhaynon.

The events provided a platform for young people to showcase their diverse talents, creativity, and storytelling skills while fostering confidence, camaraderie, and appreciation for the arts.

From impressive performances on stage to creative films on screen, participants demonstrated that the youth of Mabuhay are not only talented but also capable of inspiring and entertaining their community through their passion and creativity.

The successful conduct of 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 and 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 would not have been possible without the dedication of the organizers, participants, judges, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to making the events meaningful and memorable.
