March is Rabies Awareness Month 🐾

On March 25, the City Government of General Trias, through the City Health Office - General Trias, Cavite and the City Veterinary Office- General Trias City, successfully conducted the Rabies Awareness Month Celebration at the Balikatan Covered Court, Barangay Pinagtipunan.

The program featured a brief discussion on Rabies Awareness, along with a special session by Kute Kuts Pet Shop & Grooming. Free anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats was provided, as well as free pet grooming services for small pets.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of General Trias, to our City Mayor and City Vice Mayor, to our City Councilors, especially the City Councilor for Health, and to everyone who participated and supported the event.

Together, let us continue to promote responsible pet ownership and protect our community from rabies.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat ng mamamayan na makiisa sa ating Rabies Awareness Activity ngayong March 25, 2026 sa Balikatan Covered Court, Brgy. Pinagtipunan. Libreng Bakunahan para po sa inyong alagang a*o at pusa: 3 buwan pataas, malusog( walang sakit), nakatali o nakalagay sa kanilang cage o lalagyan.

💡 Bakit ito mahalaga?
Ang rabies ay isang nakamamatay ngunit maiiwasang sakit. Sa tamang kaalaman at aksyon, kaya nating protektahan ang ating sarili, pamilya, at mga alagang hayop.

General Trias City Health Office passed the DRRM-H Monitoring, Evaluation & Mentoring (MEM)! 🎉

On March 11, the City Health Office - General Trias, Cavite, through the DRRM-H Team, was visited by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health for Disaster Monitoring, Evaluation & Mentoring (MEM). The activity aims to assess the readiness of the City DRRM-H Team in responding during disasters and calamities.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to this achievement—especially the Quad Clusters in Health. We also express our gratitude to our City Health Officer, Dr. Jonathan P. Luseco, and the City Government of General Trias for their continuous support and leadership.

CESU General Trias passed the Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit Functionality for 2026! 🎉

On March 12, the City Health Office - General Trias, Cavite, through the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), was visited by the Provincial ESU and Regional ESU for the Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation Tool (IMET) to assess the functionality of the CESU.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this achievement—especially our core CESU staff, our City Health Officer, the Barangay-level ESUs and Hospital ESUs, as well as the PESU and RESU for their continuous support and collaboration.

We also express our gratitude to our City Health Officer, Dr. Jonathan P. Luseco, and the City Government of General Trias for their continuous support and leadership.

On March 4, the City Health Office - General Trias, Cavite, through the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) and Sanitation Unit, was visited by the Provincial Dengue Control Program to assess the increasing dengue cases in Barangay Pa*ong Kawayan II, together with the Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Captain, and CHO Barangay Health Station staff.

Routine case investigations were conducted in selected public schools as part of our continuous disease surveillance and response efforts.

Our team remains committed to ensuring timely coordination, monitoring, and appropriate public health action to keep our school communities safe and informed.

On March 2, the City Health Office of General Trias, through the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), conducted an FHSIS Updates Coordination with Program Coordinators and CHO Barangay Health Station staff regarding updates on indicators for Family Planning, Child Care, and Maternity Care.

On February 27, the City Health Office of General Trias, through the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), conducted Dengue Risk Communication in Natania Homes together with the CHO Barangay Health Station Staff and Barangay Councilor for Health to address dengue cases in the community and promote preventive measures.

Routine case investigations were conducted in selected schools as part of our continuous disease surveillance and response efforts in the community.

Our team remains committed to ensuring timely coordination, monitoring, and appropriate public health action to keep our school communities safe and informed.

The City Health Office - General Trias, Cavite through the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) and the Sanitation Unit, continues to conduct routine case surveillance in the community to monitor and help prevent the spread of diseases.
