The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Engr. Percival N. Porlucas, led this weekโ€™s Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony.

Adding warmth to the gathering, this weekโ€™s birthday celebrators were recognized and received simple gifts through the generosity of Engr. Porlucas. ๐ŸŽ

Engr. Porlucas shared a reflection around the 4 Cโ€™s: Challenges, Chances, Changes, and Choices. He reminded everyone that life, including our journey in public service, is filled with situations that challenge us, opportunities that come our way, changes that require us to adapt, and choices that define how we move forward.

As government employees, may we learn to face challenges with courage, recognize every chance to grow and serve, embrace positive changes, and make choices that reflect our commitment to the people we serve.

๐Ÿ’œ Learning, Reflecting, and Strengthening Our Commitment to Safe Workplaces

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), through a joint effort, successfully conducted the seminar on Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Discrimination last September 24, 2026.

With Ms. Lyvette M. David as the resource speaker, the seminar served as a meaningful reminder that these issues are real and can happen in any setting, including the workplace.

Gender-based violence and discrimination are sensitive issues, but they are conversations that need to be acknowledged and discussed. As government employees and public servants, we have a responsibility not only to recognize these concerns, but also to help protect, support, and serve those who may be affected.

May the knowledge and insights gained from this seminar continue to inspire greater awareness, empathy, and a stronger commitment to creating safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces for everyone.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ MONDAY FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY

The General Services Office (GSO), headed by Ms. Ninette G. Mamucod, led this weekโ€™s Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony.

A simple but meaningful activity was facilitated by Ms. Ninette, where selected employees were asked one important question: โ€œKumusta ang puso mo?โ€ โค๏ธ

In connection with the upcoming World Heart Day with the official campaign theme continuing as "Don't Miss a Beat", she reminded everyone of the importance of checking not only our physical hearts but also what lies within them. She emphasized that while it is normal to feel sadness, anger, loneliness, and disappointment, we should not allow one difficult part of our lives to overshadow the many blessings we still have.

Our families, children, jobs, and the positions we hold are all blessings worth appreciating. Even during challenging times, may we continue to choose what is morally right, respond with love rather than hate, and focus on the good we can still do for others.

The ceremony also recognized this weekโ€™s birthday celebrators, who received simple gifts as a gesture of appreciation and warm birthday wishes.

As we welcome World Heart Day, may we remember to care for our hearts, practice gratitude, and always choose what is right. ๐Ÿ’™
