A fair warning.

NEWS UPDATE: Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested a 33-year-old woman in an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion Oriental, Consolacion, Cebu, on Saturday, July 11, for alleged estafa and violation of the Real Estate Service Act.

The suspect was arrested by the CIDG Lapu-Lapu City Field Unit after she allegedly collected payment from a complainant who claimed to have paid ₱1.6 million for two parcels of land in Danao City but failed to receive the necessary ownership documents.

CIDG said its investigation also found that the real estate firm involved allegedly had no valid License to Sell and was not registered as a real estate developer or dealer.

Seized during the operation were marked money, official receipts, and a mobile phone. Charges for estafa and violation of Republic Act No. 9646 are being prepared against the suspect.
