**PUBLIC SERVICE ADVISORY**

AIR QUALITY UPDATE – GOVERNOR GENEROSO, DAVAO ORIENTAL

The Local Government Unit of Governor Generoso would like to inform the public regarding the current air quality condition in the municipality.

Based on the latest available air quality monitoring information, the air quality in the area is currently classified within the MODERATE range. Air quality is generally acceptable; however, some individuals who are unusually sensitive to air pollution may experience minor health effects.

The public is advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions, especially in the event of haze, smoke, or worsening air quality conditions.

The following precautionary measures are encouraged:

• Limit prolonged and strenuous outdoor activities, particularly when haze or smoke is visibly present.
• Children, senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions are advised to take extra precautions and minimize unnecessary outdoor exposure.
• Wear appropriate protective masks, such as an N95 mask, when exposure to smoke or haze cannot be avoided.
• Keep doors and windows closed when outdoor air quality significantly deteriorates.
• Stay hydrated and seek medical attention if experiencing difficulty breathing, persistent coughing, chest discomfort, or other respiratory symptoms.
• Avoid unnecessary burning of waste, leaves, or other materials that may further contribute to air pollution.

The public is encouraged to remain calm, stay informed, and follow updates and advisories issued by concerned government agencies and the Local Government Unit.

The LGU of Governor Generoso, through its concerned offices, will continue to monitor developments and provide appropriate updates to ensure the health and safety of the public.
