🌱 52nd PYAP-AKO Founding Anniversary | Community Clean-Up Activity 🌱
📍 July 4, 2026 | Cagamisan, Barangay Surop, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental
As part of the month-long celebration of the 52nd Founding Anniversary of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines – Ang Kabataang Organisado (PYAP-AKO) Governor Generoso Chapter, a successful Community Clean-Up and Tree Planting Activity was conducted on July 4, 2026 at Cagamisan, Barangay Surop. This year's celebration carries the theme:
"Sustaining the Flame: Institutionalizing Empowered Leadership, Strengthening Governance and Advancing Development Pathways."
The activity was implemented under PROJECT J.U.A.N. (Ang Kabataang Nagkakaisa)—the Municipality of Governor Generoso's flagship convergence model for integrated youth development and social protection. Through this initiative, the Local Government Unit continues to cultivate volunteerism, environmental stewardship, youth leadership, and meaningful civic engagement by strengthening collaboration among government offices, barangays, national government agencies, youth organizations, and community stakeholders.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Municipal Mayor Hon. Juanito C. Inojales and the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, led by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. XZ May P. Inojales, for their unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable community development.
Our heartfelt appreciation is likewise extended to the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation (SKMF) headed by Hon. Jose Remegio A. Arce, SKMF President; the Barangay Local Government Unit of Barangay Surop, led by Punong Barangay Hon. Carlo Magno Y. Cruz; the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Surop, headed by Hon. Vincent Mile Lumantad, SK Chairperson; the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) headed by Ms. Kirsten Marie B. Bolastig for providing seedlings that supported the tree-planting component of the activity; and the PYAP Municipal Federation, led by Mr. Erwin B. Cerna, for their invaluable partnership, dedication, and active participation in making this initiative a meaningful success.
Together, we continue to advance the vision of PROJECT J.U.A.N. (Ang Kabataang Nagkakaisa) by promoting its four foundational pillars: Just and Inclusive Leadership, Unified Youth Action, Active Participation, and Nation-Building at the Local Level. Through collective action and shared responsibility, we empower every young person to become an active partner in building an inclusive, resilient, and progressive Governor Generoso.
"Kabataang Organisado, Kabataang Nagkakaisa para sa Mas Maunlad nga Governor Generoso!" 💚
