BUILDING SKILLS. CREATING OPPORTUNITIES. POWERING FUTURES!

The Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) of Congressman Wowo Fortes, in partnership with the Municipal Government of Gubat under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ronnel U. Lim, and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), is currently conducting the Photovoltaic System Installation NC II Skills

The ongoing training provides participants with essential knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on experience in Photovoltaic (solar) System Installation, preparing them for employment and livelihood opportunities in the growing renewable energy sector.

Through STEP, Gubatnons and fellow Sorsoganons are given access to free technical-vocational training designed to strengthen their competencies, enhance their employability, and support sustainable livelihood opportunities.

This initiative reflects the continuing commitment of our partners to equip individuals with in-demand skills, create pathways to employment, and empower communities toward a brighter and more sustainable future.

GUIDING YOUTH TOWARD SUCCESS: CDSP CONCLUDES AT SLMCS GUBAT!

The Career Development Support Program (CDSP) Caravan successfully concluded its final day last October 1, 2026, at Saint Louis de Marillac College of Sorsogon Inc. – Gubat Campus!

Organized by the Municipal Government of Gubat, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ronnel “Nono” Lim, through the Gubat Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the initiative continues to empower young Gubateños through meaningful career guidance and development opportunities, in strong partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

A total of 77 Grade 10 students of Saint Louis de Marillac College of Sorsogon Inc. participated in the session, gaining valuable knowledge and insights to help them make informed decisions as they prepare for their future academic and career journeys.

The program started with a warm Welcome Remarks from School Principal Mr. Angeles Alcovendas, setting a positive and motivating tone for the students. Overview of CDSP by Ms. Erlinda Dacuya and followed by our resource speaker, Ms. Preza Deblois, Instructor 1 and Faculty-in-Charge of Guidance Services at Bicol University Gubat, who delivered an engaging and insightful discussion on career development, self-discovery, and preparing for future opportunities. The session formally concluded with an inspiring Closing Message by Gubat Municipal Administrator Mr. Jimmy Yau.

We likewise extend our sincere gratitude to Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jose L. Doncillo, CESO V, for the continued support, and to School Principal Mr. Angeles Alcovendas for the school’s warm welcome and excellent cooperation in making this activity a success.

Together, we are helping our young Gubateños discover their potential, make informed choices, and take confident steps toward a brighter future.
