WHO IS SUPPOSED TO ENFORCE TRAFFIC LAWS?
Pasensya na po kung dito ko na ipinopost ang hinaing ko. I honestly wouldn’t post this if it only happened once. But this has happened repeatedly, and at some point, you can’t help but ask: hanggang kailan ba ito mangyayari?
Let me share a little story time because this has been happening EVERY SINGLE DAY!
If you’re coming from Balagtas (Brgy. Borol 2nd) and heading toward Guiguinto (Brgy. Tiaong), you take the bypass road. But instead of simply going straight and turning toward Guiguinto, you now have to continue farther just to make a U-turn, because the original access route has been blocked.
Okay, fine. We follow the traffic arrangement.
But after making that U-turn, here’s the problem: there are vehicles parked along the side of the road in a clearly marked NO PARKING area. And these aren’t just small cars. There are closed vans and even large trucks occupying a significant portion of the lane.
So instead of simply staying on the outer lane and continuing straight, you’re forced to move into the inner lane just to avoid the vehicles parked illegally.
And take note, MALAKAS ANG ULAN. Visibility is already reduced, the road is wet and slippery, and drivers are expected to be extra careful. Yet you’re still forced to change lanes because an entire portion of the road is being occupied by vehicles that shouldn’t even be parked there in the first place.
And honestly, another frustrating part is when the driver behind you on the left side refuses to give way, even when you're only moving into that lane because the other lane is being blocked by vehicles parked where they shouldn’t be.
Sometimes, you can't help but feel that because they see a woman behind the wheel, they think they can bully her on the road, refusing to give way, forcing their way through, and acting as if you don't deserve the same consideration as any other driver.
And this isn't just a one-time occurrence. Nangyayari sya EVERYDAY.
There are already NO PARKING signs posted in the area. The signs are visible. The road markings are there. Yet vehicles continue to park there as if the rules simply don't apply to them.
So my question is:
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING THE TRAFFIC RULES HERE?
Is putting up a NO PARKING sign enough?
Because if nobody is actually enforcing it, then what’s the point of having the sign in the first place?
This isn’t simply about being annoyed by illegally parked vehicles. It affects traffic flow and creates an unnecessary safety hazard. Drivers are being forced to suddenly change lanes and maneuver around vehicles occupying a lane that is supposed to remain clear, sometimes even during heavy rain.
And honestly, why should law-abiding motorists be the ones adjusting because others choose to ignore the rules?
If parking is prohibited in that area, then it should be enforced consistently, whether the vehicle is a small car, a closed van, or a huge truck.
I’m posting this not to attack anyone, but because this keeps happening over and over again. Sana naman po mapansin at maaksyunan, especially since this is already becoming a recurring problem for motorists passing through the area.
Traffic rules are not decorations. They are there for a reason.
So again: WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THESE RULES ARE ACTUALLY FOLLOWED?
Pasensya na po ulit kung dito ko nailabas ang hinaing ko. I just hope this reaches the right people and that something can actually be done about it.
