🌱 ECO-WALK & SIMULTANEOUS TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY 🌱

October 1,2026

The Barangay Council of Poblacion, Ibajay actively participated in the Eco-walk and Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity of the Ibajay Free-Flowing Water User's Association (IFWUA) held on October 1-2, 2026 at Poblacion, Ibajay, Aklan.

This activity was organized by Aklan State University - Ibajay Campus Extension Service in support of environmental protection and preservation of our water resources.

The Barangay Council, led by Punong Barangay Hon. Eric Don B. Galvan, joined hands in planting trees as part of our commitment to a greener and more sustainable community.

A courtesy visit and orientation for Japan applicants was held at Poblacion Barangay Hall, Ibajay, Aklan.

Our visitor, Mr. Joel Salaver, Foreign Japanese Consultant of Goldenhand Manpower Services Inc., paid a courtesy call to Punong Barangay Hon. Eric Don B. Galvan and the Barangay Council.

He also conducted a short orientation to our constituents who are interested to apply for work in Japan - with a legitimate, trustworthy and transparent process.

The Barangay Poblacion Council thru the leadership of Hon. Eric Don B. Galvan, Punong Barangay and his Council Members proudly participated in the Opening Celebration of IBAJAY TOURISM WEEK 2026 with the theme:

"Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism"

Earlier this morning, the Poblacion Council joined the Grand Parade in full support of the Municipality's tourism program. Proudly carrying the banner of Barangay Poblacion in front of our Barangay Hall before joining the celebration.

Barangay Poblacion, Ibajay, Aklan has successfully undertaken the Initial Inventory of Barangay Properties, Financial Records, and Documents (BPFRDs) in adherence to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-021 dated February 4, 2026.

The activity was spearheaded by the Barangay Council under the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Eric Don B. Galvan, in close coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan Council led by SK Chairperson Hon. Mariah Arielle S. Solis.

The inventory was carried out in the presence and with the technical guidance of representatives from the Office of the Municipal Treasurer, the Office of the Municipal Accountant, and the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of LGU Ibajay, ensuring that all properties, records, and accountabilities were properly accounted for and documented.

The Barangay Council would like to acknowledge the diligence and commitment of Barangay Secretary Mr. Vonn A. Salido and Barangay Treasurer Ms. Sally M. Sitjar, Barangay Clerk. Mr. JC Y. Javier for their meticulous preparation of documents and records which led to the smooth conduct of the activity.

This initiative underscores our continuing commitment to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance in managing the resources of Barangay Poblacion.

1-Day PAG-IBIG Fund Caravan at Barangay Poblacion!

Happening now at the Barangay Poblacion Hall, Ibajay, Aklan β€” the 1-Day PAG-IBIG Fund Caravan in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay headed by Punong Barangay ERIC DON B. GALVAN, together with our Barangay Council and the Pag-IBIG Fund staff.

This caravan aims to bring Pag-IBIG services closer to our constituents β€” including membership verification, Loyalty Card application, Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL), and Housing Loan inquiries.
