(๐„๐‚๐Ž๐–๐„๐) have formalized a strategic partnership to finalize the ๐€๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐’๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง (๐€๐ƒ๐’๐ƒ๐๐) through a Memorandum of Agreement. This collaboration ensures that the Higaonon peopleโ€™s right to self-determination is translated into a clear, actionable roadmap.

The ADSDPP is the comprehensive 5-year plan of the Indigenous People for the sustainable management of land, resources, and cultural integrity, in the full exercise of their right to self-governance as recognized by the Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ Rights Act of 1997 (IPRA). This plan will ensure that interventions of stakeholders, especially of the local government, are aligned with the aspirations of the Higaonon indigenous people.

This Memorandum of Agreement institutionalized the support of the Iligan City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Frederick W. Siao, in upholding the Higaonon communityโ€™s right to self-determination and empowered governance.
