𝐁𝐅𝐏𝟔 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝟮 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆 𝗜 𝗢𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼 of Pavia Fire Station rendered an Exit Call to the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 Regional Director, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗘𝗗𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗣 𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗦, on October 5, 2026, prior to his participation in international fire service competitions and training in Sanming, China.

FO2 Oducado will join five other BFP firefighters who will represent Team BFP Philippines in the 2nd International Fireground Survival Championship, scheduled on October 19–25, 2026, in Sanming, China. The competition will provide an avenue for participating firefighters to demonstrate their technical skills, physical preparedness, discipline, and operational capabilities in fireground survival scenarios.

Following the competition, FO2 Oducado will also participate in the Compartment Fire Behavior Training from October 26–31, 2026, in the host city. The training aims to further enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in understanding fire behavior within enclosed spaces, contributing to safer and more effective firefighting operations.

The BFP Region 6 extends its full support and best wishes to FO2 Oducado and the other members of Team BFP Philippines as they represent the country on the international stage. Their participation reflects the Bureau of Fire Protection’s continuing commitment to developing highly skilled, competent, and well-prepared firefighters in pursuit of excellence in fire and emergency response under the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, Officer-In-Charge.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | BFP REGION 6 HOLDS REGULAR FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6, under the leadership of Regional Director 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗘𝗗𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗣 𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗦, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, and the guidance of BFP Officer-in-Charge 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, held its regular Flag Raising Ceremony this morning at the BFP Regional Office 6.

As part of the program, 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗟𝗘 𝗠 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗢 delivered the Troop Information and Education (TIE) message, highlighting the importance of Human Resource Management in strengthening the Bureau through its people. She emphasized that beyond equipment, fire trucks, and stations, it is the men and women of the BFP who serve as its greatest operational resource.

As BFP Region 6 continues to foster a culture that values its people, it remains committed to developing competent, accountable, and dedicated personnel who stand ready to protect lives, safeguard properties, and serve the people of Western Visayas.

LOOK | BFP6 REGIONAL DIRECTOR ON HOLIDAY FIRE SAFETY

As the Holiday Season approaches, Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 Regional Director FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS shared important fire safety reminders and discussed the BFP’s preparations for the upcoming holiday celebrations during an interview with GMA Super Radyo Iloilo’s Ms. Danessa Estante via phone patch.

RD Vargas underscored the importance of heightened vigilance and strict adherence to fire prevention measures as families and communities prepare for the holiday festivities. He likewise urged the public to exercise utmost caution in the use of electrical equipment, cooking appliances, decorative materials, and other potential sources of fire to help prevent fire incidents.

The BFP Region 6 continues to intensify its fire prevention and preparedness efforts to help ensure the safety of communities throughout Western Visayas this Holiday Season.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | BFP Region 6 Joins 2026 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week

𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗕𝗘𝗘 𝗕 𝗚𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗚, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, Assistant Regional Director for Administration, represented the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 during the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) at Augusto B. Legaspi Sports Complex, Kalibo, Aklan today, 01 October 2026.

FSSUPT GUMOWANG was accompanied by 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗢 𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗢, Aklan Provincial Fire Marshal, in joining various stakeholders in the three-day event spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology Western Visayas.

BFP Region 6’s participation shows its support for inter-agency collaboration and the use of science, technology, and innovation in strengthening public safety and community resilience.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | BFP Region 6 Regional Director 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐏 𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, attended the awarding ceremony held in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, with the theme “Pasidungog kag Pasalamat,” in Iloilo City.

During the ceremony, 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐎 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐍, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Assistant Regional Director for Operations, was recognized as a 2026 Gawad Lingkod Bayani Regional Qualifier under the Gawad Dangal ng Bayan category by the Civil Service Commission Regional Office VI.
