Fritzie Diez-TreΓ±as, successfully conducted an onsite validation for the nominee, Athena Mar Labios of Brgy. San Isidro Jaro - CSWDO Jaro I District for the Bulawanon nga Nanay 2026.
The activity highlights the Cityβs continued commitment to honoring mothers whose lives reflect dedication, strength, and compassion. Through onsite validation, the validators was able to witness firsthand the inspiring story of the nominee, while verifying submitted documents and gathering valuable insights from the community.

The Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office successfully conducted an Orientation on Basic First Aid and Basic Life Support Training under the TRACE (Trained Responders for Action, Crisis, and Emergencies) Program for Child Development Workers (CDWs) and Supplementary Feeding Workers (SFWs) of Jaro I District.
The activity aimed to enhance the participantsβ knowledge and skills in responding to emergency situations, providing immediate first aid assistance, and performing proper basic life support procedures. This intensive certification course provided structured instruction and practical application in wound care, bandaging, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and choking management, equipping CSWDO Staff with the operational competencies necessary to respond swiftly and effectively to workplace, community, and can help ensure the safety and well-being of children during emergencies.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office β Jaro I District extends its sincere gratitude to the resource speakers from the CDRRMO for sharing their expertise and valuable knowledge during the activity. Special thanks are also extended to Pastor Rick Martin and Iloilo Baptist Church for providing the venue for the said orientation.

Distribution of Localized ECCD Checklist from CSWDO Molo Office to Bahay Bulilit Child Development Center, Barangay Benedicto, Jaro. The twenty four (24) Child Development Workers in Jaro I District received their ECCD Checklist with their ever supportive Monitoring Officer, Ma'am Ginalyn D. Arenga.
The Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Checklist is designed to monitor childrenβs development in different domains. These domains include Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Self-Help, Receptive Language, Expressive Language, Cognitive, and Social-Emotional.
We would like to thanked our beloved Mayor Raisa TreΓ±as and the Iloilo City Government for the initiative, generosity, and support to the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program in Iloilo City.

Central Philippine University Social Work Post Evaluation.
The Social Work Student Field Interns have successfully completed their required 500 hours of Community Organizing in Field Instruction II at Barangay Sambag, Jaro, Iloilo City.
Throughout their internship, the student interns demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to public service. Their engagement with the community has not only enriched their academic experience but has also contributed meaningfully to the ongoing programs and initiatives within the barangay.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) β Jaro I District commends the interns for their hard work and perseverance. We trust that they have gained valuable knowledge, skills, and insights that will guide them in their future careers as social worker. Likewise, we recognize their efforts in sharing their learning and fostering community empowerment during their field practice.

This initiative underscores the cityβs commitment to promoting a safer, healthier, and drug-free Iloilo.

The CPU Social Work Interns, in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office β Jaro I District and Barangay Sambag, Jaro, Iloilo City, successfully conducted Orientation and PYAP Electoral Assembly: βVoices of the Youth, Power of Changeβ at Hopeville Homeowners Association Inc.
The activity aimed to orient and prepare the youth participants for the upcoming electoral assembly, providing them with a clear understanding of the organizationβs structure, roles, and responsibilities of elected officers, as well as the importance of democratic processes within the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP).
The orientation served as a platform to encourage active youth engagement, foster leadership skills, and promote accountability among young leaders. Participants were guided on the significance of their involvement in community affairs and were inspired to take part in initiatives that contribute to social development and nation-building.
