The most obvious pros of using social networks are the ability to instantly connect with people, know real-time news and information discovery, great opportunities for business owners, and for general fun and enjoyment. However, it is no secret that there's also a dark side in using social media platforms. There is the rise of misinformation and fake news. The freedom to post any content given to social media users, paired with the lack of accountability from social media platforms enabled the proliferation of fake news. Mark Lester Catalan of Barangay South Baluarte, Molo responsibly uses social media platforms and would like to stop or discredit fake news peddlers.

We all must learn how to responsibly exercise our freedom to post content on our respective platforms, in accordance with the right to free speech, and of expression. Igaproklamar na subong nga adlaw ang dugang naton nga tinggog sa Kongreso, ang Uswag Ilonggo Partylist nga gina-representar sang first nominee sini nga si James Ang Jr.

Nalakip sa top 10 partylists sa bug-os nga pungsod ang Uswag Ilonggo Partylist kag nakakuha sang ika-walo nga pwesto.

Sa kabilugan, nakatipon sang 689,536 votes ang Uswag Ilonggo Partylist halin sa nagkalain-lain nga mga probinsya sa bug-os nga Pilipinas, lakip na sa mga Overseas Filipino Workers.

Covid-19 pandemic has brought many challenges and one of which is the access to inclusive and quality education. With the inevitable shift to online and modular classes, both have their own share of advantages and disadvantages. Students had to face an overwhelming increase in academic workload, internet connectivity issues, and lack of physical interaction with peers. This has brought a bigger question of what the goal of our education really is: for learning or for mere compliance?

This is why the call for “LIGTAS BALIK-ESKWELA” is at a height. This is an inclusive campaign that considers the welfare of students, teachers, and school staff by encouraging long-term, sustainable plans of action for education. In the simplest term, this pushes for a safe return to school despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Gabe G. Biado of Barangay South Baluarte, Molo is one of those who wishes for face-to-face classes to resume.

Gani bisan amu ni subong kabudlay tungod sang pandemic gapaninguha gid ang akon ginikanan para lang masustinar ang amon pag eskwela bisan nga diri lang ako sa balay. As the rainy season is coming, we need to be vigilant and intensify preventive measures against illnesses, especially Dengue. The Iloilo City Government with the leadership of Mayor Jerry Treñas highly encourages residents to do our part in protecting our children, our family and community against vector-borne diseases through constant clean-up in our surroundings and being responsible in throwing our garbage properly to avoid adding more breeding places for the vectors. Robert Poblacion of Barangay South Baluarte, Molo continuously practices habits that will protect us all in our homes and our community.

“Dengue can be a dangerous disease that's caused by infected mosquitos. Some usually the initial symptoms like high grade fever, joint pain and rashes are the same for most patient. For family application, magpanglimpyo sa palibot. Ang mga tubig sa container, sa goma ka salakyan kag mga balde dapat i-dispose properly para indi pag istaran sang lamok. Linisin at i-drain ang roof gutters to avoid water build up. Apply mosquito repellent all over your body (off lotion). Magkaon sang masustansya nga pagkaon. Sa aton barangay manghilamon sa palibot, manglimpyo sa palibot labi nagid sa mga kanal/drainage. Takpan ang mga, timba at iba pang ipinan ng tubig sa atun barangay. Maaring magpa osok sa komunidad kung may bantay ng Dengue outbreak.”

PHILIPPINES RANKS 4th IN THE 31st SEA GAMES VIETNAM 2021!

As Team Philippines officially concluded the 31st Sea Games Vietnam 2021 with 52 Gold, 70 Silver, and 107 Bronze medals, this lead us to rank 4th Place among the 11 participating nations! We congratulate and greatly thank our athletes for bringing pride and honor to our country. Rj Grandeza, a sports enthusiasts from Barangay South Baluarte, Molo can testify how sports can help boost one’s confidence and promote camaraderie and sportsmanship.

My bodyguards are here to protect me and I always respect their job. They are obliged to look after me.

I saw a video where one of my bodyguards was forcefully pushed because of a politician.

As human beings, we are taught to respect each other and as public officials, we must be prime examples of this.

I am very sad that even before we start our new position, this is happening to my people.

I remain hopeful that these types of incidents would not happen again.
