ILOILO CITY RECORDS SOME 1,500 RECOVERIES
Iloilo City has reported 1,416 recovered patients from COVID-19 on Jan. 27 based on data from Quarantine Facility Management (QFM). This excludes COVID-19 patients who were under hospital care.
QFM head Gabriel Felix Umadhay said because Executive Order No. 004-E I signed that shortened isolation and quarantine periods are in effect, all asymptomatic patients will quarantine for seven days only, and no more re-swab is required.
Those who are positive but exhibit symptoms will be released from isolation after 10 days.
“The number of recovered patients has increased because most have mild or no symptoms at all, and are fully vaccinated with booster shots,” Umadhay said.
There are currently 308 patients in the city’s quarantine facilities in Sooc, Arevalo, and St. Therese Hospital; while 1,199 are under home quarantine.
QFM manages the city’s COVID-19 cases in its quarantine facilities and those under home or hotel quarantine.
I continue to remind the public not to be complacent and still follow health protocols, get vaccinated, and avail of booster shot as soon as it's their turn.

I am very grateful to Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. and partner agencies to make this glorious event possible. Dinagyang will again make waves of faith and hope next year. Viva Señor Sto. Niño.

For POSTING today, November 30, 10:30AM
Today, we honor and celebrate the 158th birth anniversary of ANDRES BONIFACIO, the Father of Philippine Revolution and the Supremo of the Katipunan.
He is recognized for his courage and bravery in the struggle against Spanish Colonization in the Philippines.

As of November 19, 2021 of the Department of Health’s data, Iloilo City with a recorded population of 478,817 has a total of 330,260 COVID-19 fully vaccinated individuals and 39,831 who are on their first dose.
Here is a testament from one of our barangay resident on how the COVID-19 vaccine helped them personally and the city to reach herd immunity.
With the on-going vaccination roll-outs, we highly encouraged those who are still not vaccinated to get their shots. This is for yourself, your family, and the city. We are also having vaccination roll-outs for minors and for the booster shots.
Gani, bató Iloilo, mapabakuna ako!
