𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚

The BJMP Passi City District Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING, together with Rev. Fr. John Eric Vargas and the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International (DMII), spearheaded a solemn Holy Mass inside the facility.

This celebration of faith was not only a sacred gathering but also a powerful reminder that God’s love and mercy reach beyond walls and boundaries. Through the Holy Mass, our PDLs were given the opportunity to reflect, renew, and strengthen their spiritual journey—finding hope, peace, and encouragement in the presence of the Lord.

Under the guidance of 𝗝𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢, 𝗠𝗠, Regional Director of BJMPROVI, the BJMP Passi City District Jail, led by 𝗝𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗕 𝗚𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚, a significant health initiative was carried out to safeguard the well-being of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). Through the dedicated efforts of 𝗝𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗣 𝗡𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗦, 𝗗𝗠𝗗, Regional Dentist, and JO3 Giovani A Cabusbusan, Regional Nurse, the facility facilitated a comprehensive dental and medical service program.

This initiative not only alleviated immediate health issues but also empowered PDLs with knowledge to maintain better hygiene and prevent future complications.

Under the guidance of 𝗝𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢, 𝗠𝗠, Regional Director of BJMPROVI, the BJMP Passi City District Jail, led by 𝗝𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗕 𝗚𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚, organized a proactive health education initiative. With the expertise of the unit jail nurse, JO1 Ryan Dennis W Palma, a lecture was conducted to raise awareness among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) about common illnesses that often occur during the summer season.

The session highlighted several conditions that can affect individuals during hot and humid months, including:

• Boils and scabies
• Prickly heat or skin rash
• Fungal infections
• Food and waterborne diseases
• Conjunctivitis
• Heat stroke

This initiative reflects jail’s commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of PDLs by equipping them with practical knowledge to prevent and manage seasonal illnesses. Beyond medical awareness, it also fosters a culture of care and responsibility within the facility, ensuring that health remains a priority even in challenging environments.

The personnel of BJMP Passi City District Jail, headed by JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING, Acting Warden, attended the traditional Monday flag-raising ceremony held in front of Passi City Hall.

This meaningful participation reflects our strong commitment to patriotism, public service, and unity with fellow government agencies. We stand in solidarity with our partners in building a safer, more progressive, and united community.

The BJMP Passi City District Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING, spearheaded a unit values restoration session together with personnel from the PCDJ. The gathering was not just a routine activity but a purposeful effort to strengthen the moral compass and professional integrity of the team.

The session centered on the values of Circumspection/Tact. Participants reflected on the importance of exercising caution and prudence in decision-making, especially in situations that demand fairness and sensitivity. They also explored how tact can foster respect, build trust, and maintain harmony within the workplace and in interactions with Persons Deprived of Liberty.

Through guided discussions and interactive sharing, the personnel were reminded that their role extends beyond enforcement; it is about embodying discipline, compassion, and sound judgment.

In support of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s anti-illegal drug campaign, BJMP Passi City District Jail—under the leadership of JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING conducted a distribution of ELCAC and BIDA flyers to the students of Passi City College.

This proactive effort aims to raise public awareness, strengthen community resilience, and promote a peaceful, drug-free society.

The BJMP Passi City District Jail headed by 𝗝𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗕 𝗚𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚, in collaboration with Passi City College, successfully conducted a Penology Profession Symposium for criminology students as part of the school’s Criminology Week celebration.

The symposium served as a career guidance activity, highlighting the vital roles and responsibilities of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the community. PCDJ personnel shared insights into the daily duties of jail officers, the Bureau’s mission in safeguarding society, and its commitment to the rehabilitation of Person's Deprived of Liberty.

In addition, the qualifications and requirements for those aspiring to join the BJMP service were discussed, providing students with a clear pathway toward a career in correctional service. The event emphasized discipline, integrity, and public service as core values of the profession.

Through this initiative, the collaboration between PCDJ and Passi City College not only enriched the academic experience of criminology students but also strengthened the link between educational institutions and correctional agencies.

Under the dynamic leadership of 𝗝𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢, 𝗠𝗠, Regional Director of BJMPRO-VI, the Passi City District Jail, spearheaded by 𝗝𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗕 𝗚𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚, successfully carried out its Annual Physical Ability Test (PAT) test for all PCDJ personnel.

The activity underscored the Jail Bureau’s commitment to maintaining the health, discipline, and readiness of its personnel. Each participants demonstrated endurance, strength, and agility through a series of exercises designed to evaluate their physical capabilities.

The successful conduct of the annual physical fitness test reflects the jail’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded personnel. It stands as a testament to the Bureau’s vision of maintaining officers who are not only dedicated to their duties but also physically prepared to safeguard the community.

𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 "𝗞𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗢𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗬𝗢𝗡" 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠

Under the guidance of 𝗝𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢, 𝗠𝗠, Regional Director of BJMPROVI, the BJMP Passi City District Jail, led by JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING, formally rolled out its innovative “Kahon ng Komunikasyon” program for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

This initiative was designed to provide PDLs with a safe and structured channel to express their concerns. Through the program, each PDL is encouraged to write down issues, suggestions, or requests and drop them into the designated communication box. These submissions are then reviewed and addressed by jail management, ensuring that every voice inside the facility is heard and given due consideration.

The BJMP Passi City District Jail recently conducted a values restoration session under the leadership of JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING and facilitated by Unit Values Restoration Officer SJO4 Noe S Gallano.

The session centered on the theme of dignity, emphasizing its importance in both personal conduct and communal life inside the facility. Participants were guided to reflect on how dignity shapes respect for oneself and others, and how it serves as a foundation for rehabilitation and positive transformation.

𝐓𝐁 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍'𝐒 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐘

Earlier today, the BJMP Passi City District Jail headed by JSINSP GERRIC B GUNTING, in coordination with IMED Meditrust Mobile Clinic conducted a Tuberculosis (TB) Mass Screening among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PdLs) at the Passi City District Jail.

This initiative aimed to strengthen early detection and prevention of TB within the jail facility, recognizing the heightened risk of transmission in confined environments. Medical staff with assistance of unit jail nurses facilitated the screening process, ensuring that PDLs were properly assessed through health interviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic procedures.

The activity was carried out in to maintain order and security while prioritizing the health and welfare of the PDLs. The screening not only provided immediate medical evaluation but also raised awareness about TB prevention and treatment.
