The Iloilo City Council has officially approved the Iloilo City Comprehensive Technology-Based Start-Up Ordinance of 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the city's innovation ecosystem and positioning Iloilo as a leading hub for technology-driven entrepreneurship and innovation.

This landmark ordinance aims to encourage the establishment, growth, and sustainability of technology-based start-up enterprises in Iloilo City through the provision of both fiscal and non-fiscal incentives. It seeks to create a supportive environment where innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors can thrive and contribute to the city's economic development.

Through this initiative, Iloilo City further strengthens collaboration among the government, academe, industry partners, investors, technology business incubators, and innovation enablers. By fostering these partnerships, the ordinance will help generate quality employment opportunities, encourage research and development, accelerate digital transformation, and support the commercialization of innovative products and services developed by Ilonggo entrepreneurs.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office, for their invaluable guidance, support, and commitment throughout the development and passage of this ordinance.

We likewise acknowledge the valuable contributions and unwavering support of Mr. Rayjand T. Gellamucho of KWADRA TBI–ISAT U and Assistant Leader of the UMWAD Consortium, Ms. Milyn Leghid of UPV Coastline 5023, as well as all start-ups and Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) in the city, for their continued commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and the growth of Iloilo City’s start-up ecosystem.

Ang ini nga ordinansa nangin posible kag napatigayon pinaagi sa bulig, suporta, kag pagbinuligay sang aton mga partners sa gobyerno, academe, industriya, technology business incubators, start-up enablers, innovators, kag stakeholders nga nagapati sa potensyal sang Iloilo City bilang sentro sang innovation kag entrepreneurship sa Western Visayas kag sa bilog nga pungsod.

Bilang Chairman on Education kag Chairman sang School Governing Council sang Iloilo City National High School sang pito na ka tuig, ginpangunahan naton ang Brigada Eskwela 2026 bilang preparasyon sa nagahilapit nga pagbukas sang klase, nga may tema: “Bayanihan: Sa Paaralan, Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”

Kon may bayanihan, may progreso. Kon may pagkakaisa, may mas matahum kag mas masanag nga palaabuton para sa aton mga estudyante kag komunidad.

Madamo gid nga salamat sa aton kaupod sa Konseho, Konsehal Miguel Treñas, sa aton PTA President, Alumni President, Molo PNP, City Bank, Carelon, kag sa tanan naton nga stakeholders sa ila suporta kag aktibo nga partisipasyon.

Espesyal man nga pagpasalamat kay Mrs. Alpha A. Java para sa iya wala kapoy nga pagpanguna kag hands-on nga pagdumala para mangin successful ang ini nga aktibidad.

Gina recognize man naton ang mga talented nga estudyante sang ICNHS Silak Cultural Dance Troupe sa ila matahum nga presentasyon kag pagpakita sang talento nga nagdugang sang inspirasyon kag kasadya sa sini nga okasyon.

Aton man ginpasindugan ang mga Palaro Champions na mga kabataan nga nag representar sang aton rehiyon sa 2026 Palarong Pambansa sa Agusan Del Sur. Dako nga dungog nga ila gindaog ang kampyonato sa 3v3 Basketball para sa Rehiyon Saiz kag labi na gid sa Iloilo City National High School.

Padayon ang pagserbisyo para sa edukasyon kag kauswagan sang aton komunidad!

Earlier today, Councilor Rudolph Jeffrey Ganzon was present at the Metro Pacific Iloilo Water Groundbreaking Ceremony held at the Uswag Complex, Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Malipayon gid kita kaupod ang MPIW, ang aton San Isidro barangay officials, mga residente, mga beneficiaries kag stakeholders para sa Groundbreaking Ceremony for the installation of 500 linear meters of new water pipeline in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro.

Ang ini nga milestone project nagapakita sang aton commitment para sa pagpabakod sang aton nga water infrastructure agud masiguro ang reliable kag sustainable nga water supply para sa mga Ilonggo.

Madamo gid nga salamat sa MPIW para sa ila padayon nga pagsuporta kag mga partnerships para ma-address ang mga kinanglan sang mga Ilonggo.

Water is Life. Building better water systems today means creating a better quality of life for generations to come.

“PROPOSED ORDINANCE PROMOTING BALANCED EDUCATION AND HEALTH DURING PROLONGED HEATWAVES IN ILOILO CITY, PROVIDING ADAPTIVE MEASURES FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

Aton padayon nga ginahatagan sang solusyon ang mga problema nga ginaatubang sang aton mga estudyante, ilabi na gid sa sini nga panahon nga tuman ka init sang tyempo diri sa aton syudad.

The Committee on Education successfully presented the resolution, which was subsequently approved by the Iloilo City Council, entitled:

This resolution will undergo further review to determine the appropriate timeline for implementation and the specific year levels to which it will apply. The initiative aims to help strengthen the youth’s understanding and appreciation of the ideals and historical significance of the Spanish regime.
