𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍, 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐂𝐘

The Sangguniang Panlungsod has approved the amended Ilonggo Centenarian Ordinance, further strengthening the benefits and assistance extended to our senior citizens.

The measure provides a clear one-year claiming period for incentives at ages 80 and 90, while establishing a ₱1-million annual fund for Ilonggo centenarians aged 101 and above, ensuring they continue to receive a ₱10,000 annual incentive.

Behind every centenarian is a lifetime of love, sacrifice, resilience, and stories that shaped families and communities.
This is more than an ordinance. It is our heartfelt thank you.

Earlier today, Iloilo City Councilor Rudolph Jeffrey O. Ganzon, Chairperson of the City Council’s Committee on Education, graced the event of DepEd Region VI - Regional Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting held at the Iloilo Grand Hotel, bringing together the Schools Division Superintendents (SDS) from across the Region, together with education leaders and stakeholders.

Councilor Ganzon was also given the opportunity to deliver a message and share Iloilo City’s continuing efforts in supporting and strengthening education through local governance. He shared the City’s recently passed Anti-False Public Safety Alerts Ordinance, a legislative measure that seeks to safeguard the public from fabricated or misleading safety information that may cause panic, disrupt classes, and compromise the safety and security of communities.

It was a meaningful opportunity to listen, learn, and connect with those working every day to strengthen our education system. Kay ang progreso sang edukasyon, indi ini mahimo sang isa lang ka tawo—kinahanglan ang aton pagbinuligay, pagpakig-angot, kag paghiusa.

𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃: 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈-𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐒 🚨

The Sangguniang Panlungsod has approved the Anti–False Public Safety Alerts Ordinance of Iloilo City, strengthening measures against fabricated bomb threats, shooting threats, and other false emergency advisories that cause panic, disrupt classes, and burden emergency responders.

The ordinance sets clear penalties for creating or spreading false alerts, impersonating government agencies, and tampering with official advisories, while strengthening coordination for verification and digital tracing.

Protecting communities. Strengthening emergency communication. Keeping Iloilo safe and prepared.

We recently met with Mayor Raisa Treñas to discuss the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Iloilo Confesor Council’s goal of planting 30,000 trees by March 2027.

The BSP Iloilo Confesor Council is happy to partner with the LGU through Project TRANSFORM and help bring more trees, shade, and greener spaces to our communities and even schools.
