𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | The Iloilo City Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 for 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘀 for our Women in Sustainable Enterprise (WISE) beneficiaries.

These linens were successfully distributed to homeowners’ associations in 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁, 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗼 – bringing opportunities and renewed hope to the community. More than just materials, these linens will be transformed through upcycling into sustainable livelihood products, enabling beneficiaries to generate income while promoting environmental responsibility and reducing textile waste.

𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | The Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office – Enterprise Development Team conducted a coordination meeting with 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗖. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 of the 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔), held in Bolong, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.

The meeting focused on exploring potential partnerships for livelihood skills training and discussing the implementation of the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Program. Possible areas of collaboration were also identified to further strengthen program delivery.

This coordination reflects a shared commitment to empowering communities through skills development, enhancing employment opportunities, and creating sustainable livelihood programs that uplift individuals and families.

𝟎𝟓 𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | UNA Batch 23’s 4th Session was a meaningful experience that connected life lessons with real-world responsibilities.

Through the Fish N’ Learn activity, participants reflected on the importance of choosing the right attitude, staying focused, working collaboratively, and creating a positive impact. They also strengthened their understanding of Financial Management—highlighting the value of budgeting, proper resource allocation, risk awareness, discipline, and long-term sustainability.

Just like fishing, success requires patience, preparation, and strategy. Every lesson learned is a step toward becoming financially responsible and purpose-driven individuals.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗼, 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗩 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, highlighted the critical role of food safety, correct food handling practices, and proper hygiene in protecting public health and maintaining responsible business standards.

April 29, 2026 | Twenty (20) Merkado Lokal farmers and vendors participated in an orientation on business legitimatization. The session emphasized that being a registered business unlocks opportunities and incentives, including expanding their markets—such as engaging with government offices, agencies, and other entities and supplying their produce and products.

Key topics discussed included:
• Iloilo City Nano Enterprise Incentives Program
• DTI Business Name Registration
• Business Permit Registration
• Overview on Barangay Micro Business Enterprises (BMBE) Certification
• Programs and services of the Iloilo City Government through the LEDIP Office

This activity was conducted by the Iloilo City Government through the Iloilo City LEDIP Office with Business Permitting and Licensing Division and Iloilo City Negosyo Center, in coordination with the Office of the City Agriculturist. The session was held at the LEDIP Training Room, Iloilo City Business Center, Iloilo City.

Through initiatives like this, the City Government continues to guide and support local entrepreneurs.
