COMELEC-Iloilo City conducts a successful and orderly Election Registration Board (ERB) Hearing

The Election Registration Board (ERB) of COMELEC-Iloilo City successfully conducted its hearing last June 1-5, 2026 at the Office of the Election Officer, G/F, COMELEC Integrated Field Office, Iloilo City Government Complex, Brgy. Taal, Molo, Iloilo City.

The hearing was presided by ERB Chairperson, Atty. Wil S. Arceño, together with ERB Members:
• Ms. Cherie J. Ampig, Local Civil Registrar of Iloilo City
• Dr. Ma. Luz M. De Los Reyes, Schools Division Superintendent, Iloilo City

Mr. Pablo Louise Espinosa and Ms. Lhizvil Teryz Abogado from the Office of Congresswoman Julienne “Jam Jam” Baronda also attended, representing her in Lakas CMD Party. Ms. Ma. Teresa G. Uy from the Office of City Mayor Raisa Treñas was also present, representing her in the City Mayor’s Office.

A total of 10,356 applications were heard, covering:
• New Registration
• Transfer (within/outside city/municipality)
• Transfer from Foreign Post to Local
• Change of Name/Correction of Entries
• Reactivation

Additionally, 242 oppositions to applications were deliberated by the Board on June 1-4, 2026.

All activities undertaken were conducted in preparation for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections scheduled on November 2, 2026.

Pursuant to COMELEC Minute Resolution No. 26-0410 promulgated on 28 May 2026 and Memorandum No. 0591.2026 dated 29 May 2026, which directs the continued implementation of energy-saving measures in accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 114, COMELEC OFFICES NATIONWIDE INCLUDING THE OFFICE OF THE ELECTION OFFICER, ILOILO CITY shall adopt a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement every Monday of June 2026, except on 1 June 2026.

Regular office operations shall continue every Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

The Office of the Election Officer, Iloilo City, announces the official transfer of its office operations to its new office location effective May 25, 2026 at G/F, COMELEC Integrated Field Office, Iloilo City Government Complex, Barangay Taal, Molo, Iloilo City.

The public is hereby advised that all inquiries and other COMELEC- Iloilo City related transactions shall henceforth be accommodated at the abovementioned address.

Effective May 25, 2026 (Monday), the Office of the Election Officer, Iloilo City will officially transfer to its NEW OFFICE located at:

G/F, COMELEC INTEGRATED FIELD OFFICE,
ILOILO CITY GOVERNMENT COMPLEX,
BARANGAY TAAL, MOLO, ILOILO CITY

Starting on the said date, all official transactions and services of COMELEC-Iloilo City shall be conducted at the aforementioned address.

Please be informed of the modified dates relative to the conduct of the June 1, 2026 Election Registration Board (ERB) Hearing.

The Office of the Election Officer (OEO) - Iloilo City, under the guidance of Acting Election Officer and Regional Election Attorney Atty. Jekar Francis D. Sullano, has processed 9,633 applications for registration, transfer within the City, from other municipalities/cities, from foreign post to local, reactivation of records and correction of entries and change of civil status during the registration period from April 7, 2026 to May 18, 2026. These applications shall be processed and heard by the Election Registration Board (ERB) in its Hearing set on June 1, 2026. The Notice of Hearing and List of Applicants for the said registration period was posted on the Bulletin Board of the OEO-Iloilo City on May 19, 2026 in compliance with the rules set under COMELEC Resolution No. 11177.

That’s a wrap for the last day of Satellite Registration!

Despite the classic “Pinoy Last Day Syndrome,” the long lines and influx of applicants remained organized and manageable through the collaborative efforts and dedication of our personnel and partner agencies: Robinsons Iloilo, Iloilo City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection-Iloilo City, DepEd Iloilo City, Iloilo City General Services Office, West Visayas State University ROTC Officers, West Visayas State University DagYoung Student Ambassadors and Augmentation Registration Team (ART) from ORED VI.

A total of 1,523 applications were successfully processed in a smooth and orderly conduct of voter registration.

All processed applications will undergo the Election And Registration Board (ERB) Hearing on June 1, 2026.
