The Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO) located at the 2nd Floor, Iloilo Provincial Capitol, Bonifacio Drive, Iloilo City will now accept applications for PWD Scholarship Program starting 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝟮𝟬 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

These programs are presently being implemented by the Iloilo Provincial Government under OPSWDO which aims to provide educational assistance to economically disadvantaged and deserving PWD college students enabling them to avail and finish quality tertiary education in public schools in the province.

Municipality of Tubungan's Inter-Agency Initiative on Mental Health headed by Hon. Roquito G. Tacsagon, Municipal Mayor, through Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office in partnership with PPO, 4Ps, PNP-WCPD, DepEd, Local Youth Development Council, and Liga ng mga Barangay.

Today, May 26, 2026 the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) of Provincial Government assisted by Ms. Luna Bela-ong DMOIII and Reycille Catalan PDOI in coordination with LGU Tubungan through PESO conducted Consultation Meeting cm FGD Session with Newly Integrated Citizens Women and their Families.

The activity aimed to strengthen collaboration, identify community-based training needs, and provide opportunities that will enhance skills, livelihood, and sustainable reintegration for women and their families.

Together, we continue to promote peace, empowerment, and inclusive community development. 💚✨

Social Pension pay-out conducted May 20-22, 2026 ensures timely assistance for senior beneficiaries in Tubungan, Iloilo.

A total of 146 beneficiaries from the Municipality of Tubungan successfully received their 𝑭𝑶𝑶𝑫 𝑹𝑬𝑫𝑬𝑴𝑷𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 today, May 25, 2026, at the Tubungan Public Market.

Gina-agda ang tanan sa pagpartisipar kag magbuylog sa aton BAYANIHANG BULILIT 2026 nga may tema:
“𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖-𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙉𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙣.”

Ini nga aktibidad kabahin sang pagpanghanda para sa pagbukas sang klase kag sa paghimo sang isa ka safe, clean, kag child-friendly nga learning environment para sa aton kabataan.

🌿 Be a Volunteer – Magbulig sa pagpaninlo, landscaping, kag iban pa nga improvement activities.
🌿 Be a Donor – Nagabaton kita sang cash ukon in-kind donations pareho sang cleaning materials, gardening tools, toys, trash bins, kag iban pa nga mapuslanon nga gamit para sa centers.

👨‍👩‍👧 Gina-engganyo ang mga ginikanan, barangay officials, organizations, kag community members nga magpartisipar kag magbuylog.

📌 Para sa mga pamangkot, mahimo nga makig-angot sa Child Development Worker/Teacher sa inyo barangay.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The Municipality of Tubungan through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), successfully conducted the Risk Resiliency Program Cash-for-Training and Work under Project LAWA at BINHI. The activity was participated in by 200 identified partner-beneficiaries from various barangays and was held on May 18, 2026, at the Barangay Lanag Sur Gymnasium, Tubungan, Iloilo.

Hon. Roquito G. Tacsagon, Municipal Mayor, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of sustaining community gardening initiatives and aquaculture as income-generating opportunities at the community level.

During the training proper, Ms. Jane Hervilla, PDO II and Focal Person from DSWD Field Office VI, discussed various topics related to the Risk Resiliency Program, DSWD Mandate, Programs and Services, Flagship Programs, including Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation. She was assisted by Ms. Shawie May Nalupano, PDO I.

Meanwhile, Ms. Marjorie Tacardon, Municipal Agriculturist, discussed Organic Farming among the participants. Hon. Francisco “Ike” Gallego, SB Chairperson on Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Climate Change Adaptation, also shared valuable insights on Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT).

The activity aimed to strengthen community resilience, promote sustainable agriculture, and provide livelihood opportunities among beneficiaries through capacity-building initiatives.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | FOOD FOR WORK PROGRAM DISTRIBUTION

Beneficiaries received family food packs as compensation for the community work they rendered under the Food for Work Program.

The activity formally opened with welcome remarks from Mrs. Diadem Pearl F. Tamara, MSWDO Head, followed by a message of support from Municipal Mayor Hon. Roquito G. Tacsagon, who reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to assisting sectors greatly affected by the recent crisis in the country.

This initiative reflects the municipality’s continued dedication to helping families in need through unity, compassion, and meaningful public service.
