A coordination meeting was conducted at R. Mapa Mirasol Elementary School with the School Principal together with Sir Joebert Amado, Station Chief, in preparation for the opening of classes.

The meeting focused on ensuring the safety and orderly movement of students, parents, and motorists within the school vicinity through proper traffic management and coordination among concerned agencies.

COORDINATION MEETING WITH BALABAGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A coordination meeting was conducted with Sir Eric P. Valenzuela, School Principal of Balabago Elementary School, in preparation for the opening of classes.

Key concerns discussed included the strict implementation of the No Vendors Allowed Policy within the school vicinity and the enforcement of the Clamping Zone from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM to ensure smooth traffic flow, safety, and order around the school premises.

The initiative aims to provide a safe, organized, and conducive environment for students, parents, and motorists as the new school year begins.

COORDINATION MEETING WITH THE PRINCIPAL OF TICUD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A coordination meeting was conducted with the Principal of Ticud Elementary School regarding the preparations for the opening of classes. Topics discussed included traffic management, designated parking areas, loading and unloading zones, installation of SCHOOL ZONE and SLOW DOWN signboards, and the duties and responsibilities of the assigned Traffic Enforcers (T/E) to ensure the safety of students, parents, and motorists within the school vicinity.

Traffic Management Planning

Ret. Major Victor Legaspi, Raymund Jarobilla (Traffic Planner, CPDO), together with Engr. Mavi J. Gustillo, conducted a planning session to discuss proposed Traffic Management Plan (TMP) mitigations and improvements aimed at enhancing road safety, traffic flow, and overall mobility within the city.

Proposed TMP Mitigations and Improvements:
• Improvement/Re-design of Road Corridor and Junction Geometry
• Road Centerline Re-alignment
• Adjustment of Lane Width and Lane Channelization
• Construction/Painting of Road Medians and Islands
• Corrective Signal Phasing and Timing Plans
• Installation/Relocation of Road Signs and Lane Markings
• Installation of New Traffic Signals
• Selected Turning Movement Closure at Junctions
• Installation of Plant Boxes as Temporary Bollards

Through proper planning and coordination, these initiatives aim to create safer, more organized, and efficient road networks for all road users.
