Protecting children is everyoneโs responsibility. Let us stand together against abuse, exploitation, and discrimination.
R.A. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, ensures stronger safeguards for the welfare of every Filipino child. It penalizes anyone who inflicts physical, psychological, or sexual harm, as well as those who exploit children through labor, trafficking, or neglect. With the community working hand in hand with authorities, we can create a safer environment where our children can grow, learn, and thrive with dignity and hope. Let us be vigilant, responsive, and compassionate. Each child deserves protection, care, and love.
Safety Tips:
โข Be observant. Notice signs of fear, bruises, withdrawal, or sudden behavior changes in children.
โข Teach children to speak up. Please encourage them to tell a trusted adult whenever something makes them uncomfortable or unsafe.
โข Monitor their environment. Know the people who interact closely with your children, both online and offline.
โข Report immediately. If you see or suspect child abuse, contact your nearest police station, barangay office, or call 1383 (Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking Hotline).
โข Support safe spaces. Create a home and community where children feel heard, understood, and protected.
