𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘦 2, 2026, 𝘐𝘭𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 – The Data Assessment and System Management Office - Information and Communication Technology (DASMO-ICTD) had a coordination meeting with the Office of the City Administrator to discuss updates, concerns, and operational matters related to the Virtual Attendance Recording System (VARS) following the implementation of the City Government’s alternative and flexible work arrangements.

The meeting served as a platform to gather feedback, address operational challenges, and assess the system’s performance across participating offices. Insights and recommendations from the discussion will guide DASMO in further enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of VARS, ensuring that it continues to effectively support the evolving workforce management needs of the Iloilo City Government.

𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘦 01, 2026, 𝘐𝘭𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 –The Data Assessment and System Management Office – Information and Communications Technology Division (DASMO-ICTD) held a project update meeting, convened by DASMO-ICTD Division Head Mark Anthony Yap, along with the DASMO - ICTD Software Development team, to discuss the status of ongoing projects, address key technical concerns, and align strategies for the timely and efficient implementation of ICT initiatives.

This meeting aims to identify division targets and strategically align division priorities with organizational goals.

Ginpermahan naton ang Memorandum of Agreement in between the Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office VI, nga ginarepresentar ni Hon. Nelida C. Amolar, kag sang Iloilo City Government, para sa Data Sharing on the Statistical Business Register (SBR), bilang suporta sa mandato sang PSA sa pagpalig-on sang national statistical system.

Pinaagi sini, ang Local Economic Development and Investment Office - Business Permits and Licensing Division (LEDIP - BPLD), City Treasurer’s Office (CTO), kag Data Assessment and Systems Management Office (DASMO) sang Iloilo City Government magahatag sang lig-on, husto, kag secure nga administrative business data agud mapabakod ang SBR bilang isa ka continuously updated kag authoritative business registry.
Ini nga partnership nagasunod sa Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) kag nagapabakod sa data integrity, security, kag inter-agency collaboration para sa evidence-based governance kag mas epektibo nga economic planning sang Iloilo City.

𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘦 01, 2026, 𝘐𝘭𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 – The Iloilo City Government, through the City Mayor’s Office led by Hon. Mayor Raisa S. Treñas, formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office VI, represented by Regional Director Ms. Nelida C. Amolar, for the 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 (𝙎𝘽𝙍).

Witnessing the signing of the agreement were Iloilo City Government’s Data Protection Officer and Data Assessment and System Management Office (DASMO) Department Head, Atty. Fydah Marie B. Sabando, and PSA Chief Statistical Specialist of the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division, Ms. Marlene Y. Alviar. Also present during the signing ceremony was DASMO–Community-Based Monitoring System Division (DASMO-CBMSD) Head, Ms. Pearl Rose Parcon.

The partnership strengthens collaboration between the PSA and the Iloilo City Government in support of a more robust national statistical system while ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). Through secure and responsible data sharing, the agreement promotes data integrity, enhances inter-agency coordination, and supports evidence-based policymaking, economic planning, and responsive governance for the people of Iloilo City.

In line with its mandate, DASMO remains steadfast in safeguarding personal information, upholding responsible data governance, and advancing a culture of integrity, accountability, and innovation in data management across the Iloilo City Government.

𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘦 01, 2026, 𝘐𝘭𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 – The Data Assessment and System Management Office (DASMO) joined the National ICT Month 2026 Kickoff held in Iloilo City and organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) under the theme, “Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso ay Serbisyo.”

Representing DASMO were Department Head Atty. Fydah Marie B. Sabando, DASMO-ICTD Division Chief Mr. Mark Anthony Yap, and Engr. Kriza Tormon. Also present was the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO), represented by Department Head Ms. Velma Jane Lao.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of additional Free Wi-Fi for All sites across Region VI. Iloilo City remains one of the beneficiaries of the DICT’s Free Wi-Fi for All Program, which provides free internet access in public spaces and helps strengthen digital connectivity for residents. The turnover of ICT equipment for Iloilo City's Innovation Hub was likewise conducted during the program.

The celebration highlighted the country's decade-long journey in digital transformation and the rollout of key digital infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing government services and improving public access to technology.

Sabando, along with DASMO-DMCS Section Head, Atty. Vyel Marie Brodit and Atty. Faith Marie Fullon of DASMO-DMCS, participated in a technical discussion led by the Ateneo de Manila University – Institute of Philippine Culture (ADMU-IPC), serving as a follow-up discussion on the ongoing eMHPRE UHC Project with the Iloilo City Government.

The Electronic Mental Health Program Registry (eMHPRe) for Local Government Units: Synchronizing Mental Health Services Information Systems with Universal Health Care (UHC), also known as the eMHPRe UHC Project is an initiative of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development that aims to improve healthcare workers’ capacity to provide quality healthcare through electronic reports and monitoring of mental health targeted services.
