We are a team in the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region 6 that monitors and conduct training on building government websites for LGU, NGA, GOCC, GFI, and other government entities. IRM Unit or the Information Resource Management Unit is a small departmental unit of the DICT Region 6 to handle the Government Web Hosting Services, Multimedia, and Conduct training as the resource persons for other projects such as ILCDB, Tech4ED, and provincial offices.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Regional Office VI successfully conducted a two-day Information Session on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Region VI on August 19–20, 2025 at the DTC Lab 1, DICT Regional Office VI, Iloilo City.

A total of 100 participants from PNP, divided into four batches with 25 participants each, actively engaged in the sessions.

Mr. Schweizer Joenz Severo discussed what AI is, how it works, and how it learns, highlighting its relevance and potential applications.

Mr. Levi John Ledesma provided an in-depth demonstration showcasing the capabilities and practical use cases of ChatGPT.

DICT remains committed to enhancing digital literacy and fostering AI awareness across sectors in Western Visayas.
