I am Hon. Rafe D. Laluma, IPMR to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Capiz, representing the Panay Bukidnon and Ati ICCs/IPs.

I strongly oppose the 400-million-peso cut in the NCIP budget for 2025. This reduction threatens Indigenous Peoples’ rights, ancestral domain protection, and essential programs like education, health, and cultural preservation.

I urge Congress / to reverse this cut and furthermore, regularize the NCIP as a government agency for stable and effective service to the Indigenous Communities nationwide.

Pinangunahan ni Hon. Jeorge M. Largado, Commisioner ng Island Groups and Rest of Visayas, ang panunumpa ng mga opisyal Visayas IPMR League. Kasama sa mahalagang okasyong ito sina RD Atty. Princess May Alcalde-Oral, Regional Director ng NCIP Region 6/7, Atty. Hermie Jun Toledo, NCIP Hearing Officer ng Region 6/7, Engr. Edgar Labordo Jr., TMSD Chief ng NCIP 6/7, mga Community Service Center, mga kapatid nating mga IPMR at Indigenous People galing sa ibat-ibang probinsya na patuloy na sumusuporta at nagtataguyod ng mga karapatan ng mga Katutubo.

Sa pagkakaisa at sama-samang pagsusumikap, layunin namin ang mas malawak na pagkilala at proteksyon sa mga karapatan ng mga Katutubong Pilipino. Patuloy tayong magtutulungan para tiyakin na ang ating mga karapatan ay kinikilala at pinoprotektahan, para sa mga susunod na henerasyon ng mga Katutubo. ✊🏽
