62 Wanted Persons Nabbed in a One-day Manhunt in Western Visayas

ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 intensified campaign against wanted persons in the region accounted 62 wanted persons in twenty-four-hour police operations. This covers from 6:00 AM, November 12 to 5:59 AM of November 13, 2024.

Of the number of arrest, seven are classified as most wanted persons and fifty-five are other wanted persons.

The following units contributed to this accomplishment:

• Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) made five arrests;
• Antique PPO with three;
• Capiz PPO with two;
• Guimaras PPO with two;
• Iloilo PPO with seventeen arrests;
• Negros Occidental PPO made twenty-three arrests;
• Bacolod City Police Office with four;
• Iloilo City Police Office contributed three arrests; and
• Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 with three.

Police Regional Office 6 Director, Brigadier General Jack L W***y, congratulated the various tracker teams and their unit commanders in locating and apprehending these law violators.

“With these statistics, our sincere appreciation to the members of the community who provided us the vital information leading to these arrests. With their commitment of support, we are optimistic that we can account the remaining wanted persons in the region.”

“The arrests of these outlaws is a good development and will improve the peace and order situation in the locality where they are hiding because they cannot commit crimes anymore,” PBGen W***y added.

The accused are now under police custody and will be turned over to court concern.

PRO-6 Arrests 13 Drug Suspects, Seizes P1.5 Million Worth of ‘Shabu’

ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 one-day operations against illegal drugs seized approximately 229 grams of suspected ‘shabu’ valued at P1.5 million and arrested 13 drug peddlers. These were the results of eleven operations region wide that cover from 6:00 AM, November 12 to 5:59 AM of November 13, 2024.

Of the 13 arrested persons, three are tagged as high value individuals and ten are street level individuals.

Below are the contributions of the different units in terms of arrests:

• Antique Police Provincial Office made one arrest;
• Iloilo Police Provincial Office with three arrests;
• Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office with six arrests; and
• Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) with three arrests.

Meanwhile, on illegal drug confiscation, ICPO has the biggest volume of recovery with PHP972,440 worth of suspected 'shabu'. These were yielded in three separate operations.

Western Visayas top cop, Brigadier General Jack L W***y, commend the ongoing and intensified effort of all units across the region to prevent and stop the proliferation of illegal drugs.

“These accomplishments are products of our strong partnership with the community and the other law enforcement agencies. Their support is highly appreciated as we aimed that all involve in the illegal activity will be put behind bars and every community be spared from the menace of illegal drugs,” PBGen W***y added.

The suspects are now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

47-Year-Old Man Arrested During Police Operation, P476K Worth of ‘Shabu’ Seized

ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), Police Station 1 anti-illegal drug operation yielded approximately 70 grams of suspected ‘shabu’ worth PHP476,000 from high value suspect on November 11, 2024 at 10:30 in the evening at Barangay Yulo-Arroyo, City Proper, Iloilo City.

The suspect was alias Gene, male, single, 47, and resident of Barangay West Timawa, Molo, Iloilo City.

Fifteen plastic sachets containing suspected ‘shabu’ were recovered from the subject during the operation.

Police Regional Office 6 Director, Brigadier General Jack L W***y, commend the continued and intensified effort of the Iloilo City Police Office in the fight against illegal drugs in close coordination with the different stakeholders.

“This accomplishment is one of the products of our strong collaboration and partnership with the community and other law enforcement agencies. With their help and support, we expect that we can identify those who still engage in illegal drug activity,” he added.

The successful operation was supported by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6; the ICPO, Special Weapons and Tactics and PNP Drug Enforcement Group.

The suspect is now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

HIGH-VALUE INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED IN ESTANCIA; CLOSE TO 1.3M PESOS WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED

The planned operation was carried out by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) at Brgy. Gogo, Estancia, Iloilo, on November 14, 2024, at around 10:40 AM. The target of the operation was a high-value individual (HVI) known as “Bebing Muslim,” female, 48 years old, unemployed, married, and a resident of Brgy. Gogo, Estancia, Iloilo. Following her arrest, the operating team confiscated approximately 185 grams of suspected illegal drugs or shabu, with an estimated standard drug price worth PHP 1,258,000.00.

Alias Bebing Muslim was monitored for nearly six months for involvement in the illegal drug trade following reports from concerned citizens in the town. According to the information, she operates in Estancia and neighboring municipalities.

The Director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), Police Colonel Bayani Razalan, commended the exceptional performance and bravery of the operating team behind the successful anti-drug operation. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Iloilo for their unwavering support in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.

“This accomplishment cannot be achieved without the unwavering support of the community in promoting peace and order. I extend my gratitude to our Ilonggo Cops for their dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the public, especially in the fight against the menace of illegal drugs. Your efforts to maintain peace and order are truly commendable,” PCol Razalan said.
