BARANGAY MILAGROSA, QUEZON CITY GOES TO ILOILO CITY TO BENCHMARK

Iloilo City Government through Iloilo City Gender and Development (GAD) Office welcomed brgy. officials from Brgy. Milagrosa of Quezon City to embarked on a benchmarking, today, June 11.

The purpose of the visit was to learn from Iloilo City’s successful programs towards gender-responsive planning and Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE). Also, this activity highlights a growing commitment to collaborative learning and best practices sharing among LGUs.
This aims to integrate gender equality into various development projects and initiatives to improve the economic opportunities available for women, and several sectors in Iloilo City.

This partnership and convergence with LGUs represent a significant step to creating more equitable and inclusive communities by sharing best practices and continuous commitment to achieve sustainable development goals, particularly in promoting gender equality, inclusivity, and women empowerment.

On behalf of Hon. Raisa Treñas-Chu and Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, Ms. Mary Ann A. Ramos, Executive Assistant for Gender and Development (GAD) participated in the Ugnayan 2025 of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System, with the theme: "We are on Pisay" last June 9, 2025 at PSHS- Western Visayas Campus.

The gathering brought together sixteen campuses of PSHS.

The celebration was filled with celebratory speeches, and an overall atmosphere of accomplishment and camaderie.

The said event marked the successful culminating in the program.

I extend my deepest gratitude and highest commendation to the hardworking men and women who keep our beloved Iloilo City clean, safe, and thriving as we commemorate Labor Day.

To our streetsweepers, traffic aides, beautification teams, green guards, police auxiliaries, market workers, and the personnel from the General Services Office (GSO) and City Engineer’s Office (CEO) madamo guid nga salamat sa inyo serbisyo. Saludo guid ako sa inyo. Your daily efforts, often under the scorching sun or early in the morning, embody the true spirit of public service and dedication.

I also recognize our employees at City Hall and all workers across the different departments of our city government. Each of you plays a vital role in delivering efficient and compassionate service to our people.

Iloilo City continues to flourish because of your commitment and tireless work. Padayon kita sa aton paninguha para sa mas matawhay, mas mainuswagon, kag mas maayo nga Siyudad para sa tanan.
