The establishment of child-friendly spaces in evacuation centers during calamities is vital for safeguarding the physical and emotional well-being of children.

These spaces serve as a safe haven where children can experience some sense of normalcy amid chaos.

They facilitate psychological support, play, and bonding activities that help children cope with
stress and trauma caused by disasters.

Additionally, child-friendly spaces help ensure children are protected from exploitation, abuse, and neglect, while also allowing caregivers and responders to better monitor and address their needs. Overall, they play a key role in promoting resilience and recovery in affected children.
