ILOILO CITY, August 20, 2026 — The National Food Authority (NFA) Western Visayas strengthened its partnership with grassroots farmers’ organizations through the Regional Farmers Action Council (RFAC), underscoring its commitment to make government programs and services more responsive to the needs of local farmers in the region.

The RFAC Western Visayas Chapter elected and inducted its new set of officers during ceremonies held at the NFA Conference Room, 2nd Floor, NFA Building, Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City.

ILOILO CITY — August 20, 2026 — The National Food Authority (NFA) is strengthening its commitment to operational efficiency, food logistics, financial integrity, and public accountability through the continuing capability development of its human resources.
In line with this commitment, the NFA Western Visayas is hosting a Training on the Verification, Calibration, and Maintenance of NFA-Owned Metrology Equipment from August 18 to 20, 2026, at the NFA Training Center, 3rd Floor, NFA Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City.

The three-day training spearheaded by the Technical Services Division of the Operations Coordination Department (OCD) of the NFA Central Office was participated by designated calibrators from Region 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, BARM, CARAGA & Central Office.

This endeavors to enhance the technical competencies of NFA personnel responsible for the proper use, verification, calibration, and maintenance of metrology equipment.

ILOILO CITY, August 17, 2026 — The National Food Authority (NFA) Western Visayas under the leadership of Regional Manager II Rodolfo W. Corpuz is strengthening its commitment to modernizing its facilities and enhancing its services to Filipino farmers through the rigorous testing, evaluation, and operational preparation of its modern rice mill facility in P.D. Monfort, Dumangas, Iloilo.

To ensure that the equipment conforms to the required technical specifications, the NFA AMTEC Testing, Testing and Commissioning Team headed by Regional Manager Julius B. Sugue, together with Asst. Regional Manager Ovelito C. Baritua, Branch Manager Jonathan D. Yazon and Engineers from NFA Operations Coordination Division (OCD) and Field Offices conducted a comprehensive testing of the facility’s state-of-the-art rice mill. The activity was conducted in coordination with the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC).
