Last Thursday, May 21, the Committee on Appropriations, chaired by BM Oso, convened together with Honorable Vice Governor Nathalie Ann Debuque and Board Members Cajilig and Mondejar to discuss and raise concerns regarding the supplemental budget for various offices, Iloilo Provincial Hospital, and the 12 district hospitals under the Iloilo Provincial Government. 💼📋

These include the opening of new positions, provision of additional wages, and enhancement of facilities aimed at improving public service delivery, healthcare services, and infrastructure development. 🏥👷‍♂️💰

All supplemental budget proposals raised during the discussion were approved at the committee level, reflecting the province’s continued commitment to addressing key priorities in governance, healthcare, and public service improvement. ✅📑

The Committee on Zoning and Land Use Planning, chaired by Board Member Rolex T. Suplico, conducted an on-site inspection at the proposed Solar Power Plant area in Barangay Tipacla, Ajuy 🌱⚡

The visit focused on the proposed conversion of land use from agricultural to industrial to support the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the province 🏗️☀️

The committee was joined and guided by the Provincial Land Use Committee, Provincial Legal Office, and the Municipal Planning and Development Office, ensuring proper evaluation and compliance with planning and legal requirements 🤝📑

📌 Committee Report No. 12, Series of 2026 relative to Municipal Ordinance No. 2026-005 of Tigbauan, Iloilo, otherwise known as the “Child and Youth Welfare Development Code of the Municipality of Tigbauan, Province of Iloilo.”

📌 Committee Report No. 13, Series of 2026 relative to Municipal Ordinance No. 30-S-2026 of Santa Barbara, Iloilo, entitled:

“An Ordinance Establishing the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councilors Coordinating and Capacity Development Mechanism in the Municipality of Santa Barbara, Iloilo, Defining its Purposes, Structure, and Functions, and Providing Guidelines for its Operation.”
