AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2025

Barangay Toclong I-C joins the global observance of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2025 on May 22, 2025, in line with this year’s theme: “We Remember, We Rise, We Heal.”

This event will serve as a solemn tribute to those who lost their lives to AIDS-related illnesses, while also standing in support of individuals living with HIV. Through a meaningful candle-lighting ceremony, the barangay renewed its commitment to awareness, compassion, and the fight against stigma and discrimination.

Participants will include barangay officials, barangay health workers, and SK members, who will come together to:

🔸 Remember and honor the memory of those lost;

🔸 Support those affected and their families;

🔸 Raise awareness on HIV prevention, testing, and treatment;

🔸 Promote inclusivity and eliminate stigma in the community.

The memorial underscored the importance of education, solidarity, and collective responsibility in advancing public health and human dignity. It was not only a moment of reflection but also a powerful reminder that through unity, healing and hope are possible.
