Today, July 7, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite celebrated World Chocolate Day at the DTI Cavite Provincial Office. To mark the occasion, DTI Cavite invited its clients and staffs from various government agencies to join the celebration by serving free hot tablea de cacao chocolate, chocolates, and champorado.
Featured during the celebration were the products of Tablea Batirol and Auspere Nature Farm, showcasing locally made chocolate products and promoting Cavite's thriving cacao industry.
Ms. Mary Jane Mojica, Owner and Operations Manager of Tablea Batirol, facilitated a live demonstration on the traditional process of making tablea de cacao. DTI Cavite personnel, together with staff from various government agencies, actively participated in the demonstration and learned about the craftsmanship and cultural significance of locally produced tablea.
DTI Cavite continues its commitment to supporting local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the cacao industry. Through the celebration, participants were encouraged to appreciate and support locally made chocolate products while recognizing the hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship of Cavite's cacao producers.
