𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐏𝐒𝐀 𝐮𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐞𝐂𝐑𝐕𝐒 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) officially launched the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (eCRVS) today, 06 October 2026, during the 5th National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (5NCCRVS).

Leading the launch were PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General; Assistant Secretary Minerva Eloisa P. Esquivias, Deputy National Statistician of the Civil Registration and Central Support Office; and Assistant National Statistician Engr. Marizza B. Grande of the Civil Registration Service.

The eCRVS is a digital platform that modernizes the registration of vital events and connects the PSA, Local Civil Registry Offices, barangays, health facilities, and partner agencies for a faster and more seamless flow of civil registration information.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) brings together local civil registrars, solemnizing officers, local chief executives, the academe, and other stakeholders from across the country today, 06 October 2026, for the first-ever hybrid multi-venue 5th National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (5NCCRVS) nationwide.

With the theme, “Navigating the Future Together: Advancing CRVS in Shaping the Global and Regional Data Ecosystem,” the 5NCCRVS provides a platform for stakeholders to share updates and best practices on civil registration and promote greater appreciation of vital statistics.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) invites members of the media and the public to the Press Conference on the August 2026 Labor Force Survey (Preliminary) Results on 07 October 2026 (Tuesday), 9:00 AM.

PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, will present and discuss the latest labor force figures and key insights of the report.

Media personnel may participate either onsite at the Presscon Room 1, 9th Floor, PSA Headquarters, East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, or virtually via Zoom.

READ | Consumer Price Index for the Bottom 30% Income Households (2018=100): September 2026

The country’s inflation rate for households in the bottom 30% of the income distribution increased to 9.0% in September 2026 from 8.2% in August 2026.

Food inflation for the bottom 30% of income households at the national level recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 9.8% in September 2026, from 8.3% in the previous month. In September 2025, it recorded an annual decrease of 2.4%.

Inflation for the bottom 30% of income households in the National Capital Region (NCR) moved at a faster rate of 5.7% in September 2026, from 4.3% in August 2026.

Inflation for the bottom 30% of income households in areas outside NCR also showed a faster annual increment of 9.1% in September 2026, from 8.4% in August 2026.

READ | Seasonally Adjusted Consumer Price Index (2018=100): September 2026

At the national level, the seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all items exhibited a month-on-month growth rate of 1.1% in September 2026, from 0.5% in August 2026.

In the National Capital Region (NCR), seasonally adjusted CPI for all items registered a faster month-on-month growth rate of 1.1% in September 2026, from 0.3% in the previous month.

Areas outside NCR noted a faster monthly increase 1.2% in September 2026, from 0.4% recorded in August 2026.
